Ricardo was born and raised in Los Angeles and of Cuban/Spanish ancestry. He is a self-taught musician and started to play guitar at an early age. He was mainly influenced by Rock, Hip-Hop, Cuban and Classical music which has also influenced his song writing. In his late teens, he began to study Flamenco guitar. His profound love of Flamenco later led him to Spain where he studied with legendary guitarists such as Manolo Sanlucar, Gerardo Nuñez, and Antonio Jero. His involvement with the Flamenco community has led him to tour the United States and abroad with different dance companies such as Clarita and the Arte Flamenco Dance Theatre, Blanca Luz Dance Academy, La Sole Flamenco & Classical Spanish Dance Company, Antonio Vargas and Gloria Llanera Dance Company from Spain.
