More Of The Same

Hello my loyal followers, please accept my apologies that I am currently unable to attend to my hobby due to personal reasons and have temporarily withdrawn from SoundCloud. I recently logged into my account and received so many messages inquiring about my whereabouts. I wasn't expecting that. Thank you so much for your inquiries. I don't know yet when I'll be able to be active again. It may be until the end of the year. Have fun with your songs and thank you again for your loyalty.

Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to listen to my music.

My first steps in electronic music were with the Atari 260 ST (manually upgraded to 1 MB memory), a Yamaha PSR460 keyboard and Cubeat 1.0 (later renamed to Cubase 1.0). So I've always been focused on Cubase, so to speak.

That was a long time ago. In the meantime I set up my little studio and recorded a few songs for myself. However, I didn't dare to publish them because they might not be good enough for the world. 

But at the beginning of 2023 I risked to publish the first songs. I hope you like my music, even if everything is very amateurish.

Update May 26th, 2023

Now 5 months have passed and I would like to describe my impressions so far. 

This is the best community I have ever experienced. You guys are so great, motivating, inspiring, creative and constructive. This week I welcomed my 500th follower and you gave me the opportunity to reply to over 1000 comments. I never would have expected that.

Many, many thanks for your appreciative support and of course for your great music that you share with all of us here.

An ambient music creator exploring the harmony between sound and space. Drawing inspiration from the natural landscapes and urban noise, I craft soundscapes that bring a sense of calm and deep relaxation.

Just to let you know, we've changed our project name to Passion Arcade as we felt it described us better as a couple, and it having an 80s reference in there at the same time, just as our music (hopefully!).  Thanks for listening to our music!
Annie & Sander

Passion Arcade came into existence when Annie Smart (@annie-smart-1) and Sander Heerings (Wane of Summer @wane-of-summer) joined forces in 2019 to create some synthpop tracks. In no time we coughed up 12 tracks, so we decided to go for an album :)

Bedroom producer since 2021. 
I try to avoid boundaries and blend all styles I like (indie rock, acoustic, prog, metal, ambiant, trip-hop, jazz, and also classical and even a bit of trad). As long as it sounds...

What I write today is ambiant / downtempo / ethnic tracks with a taste of darkness, and I'm also preparing something more energetic later... but that's a different story.

Working with Ableton and VSTs, this is mostly MIDI, only the guitar is (sometimes) real.
