Nationally known as the Hip Hop Principal, Dr. Shango  A.  Blake-CEO of TRU SK Consultants, LLC is a much sought after speaker about issues in urban education; from pioneering unique collaborations between students, teachers, parents, and the community towards creating and sustaining a vibrant academic atmosphere, to his successful tenure as a New York City Principal, he has proven to be a true renaissance educator. As a Principal, Dr. Blake saw a profound need to institute drastic and creative changes to improve his school’s failing health. Dr. Blake initiated a bold and daring self-created project to integrate a conceptualized Hip Hop based educational program. This program led to the creation of: A new curriculum model that included teacher development, parent involvement, and school/community collaboration.

His school went from one of the lowest-performing schools in the district to number one in reading and math. As a result,  Dr. Blake has been featured on Oprah Winfrey, People Magazine, 98.7 Kiss FM, The Joey Reynolds Show, WABC channel 7 news, and WCBS Channel 2 interviewed Dr. Blake.

Dr. Blake is currently the host of two innovative podcast; The Classroom: Hip Hop 101 and Exploring Educational Issues and Solutions with  Dr.Blake.

Kit Rice, a multi-talented songwriter, artist, and Brit School alum, is a rising star in the music scene. Known for his soulful vocals and versatile songwriting, Kit's music spans multiple genres including DnB, UKG, R&B, and Pop, earning him global recognition and multiple record deals with labels like Viper, Galacy, Spearhead, Grand Theft Audio, Liquicity, Multifunction, and Ram.
Kit's latest D&B hit, "Rave That Never Ends," shot to number one on the iTunes and Apple Music charts in Denmark, Ireland & the UK, and topped charts in 70 other countries. With over 4 million playlist listeners on Spotify and airplay on BBC Radio 1, 2, Kiss FM & Rinse FM, Kit’s music has touched millions. 

His next DnB release is upcoming on Liquicity in November 2024, "Liminal Spaces" with Pyxis & Hiraeth, is highly anticipated. He is also in the studio with producer BCEE (Spearhead Records) & female powerhouse artists Solah & Abi Flynn to record the follow up single Fall which will be released early 2025.

Next up for summer 2025 Kit is releasing 2 amazing Garage (UKG) eps with an array of amazing producers & writers from Europe to USA. Including a duet with Abi Flynn entitled ‘As Long As Youre Here’ produced by superstar producer Mark Hadfield (NEYO, SIA).

Kit is also in the process of crafting a new pop record entitled, "Human," which delves into his journey as a young queer man in the UK, exploring themes of adversity, resilience, and love. Produced by Adam Rust (MNEK, Becky Hill), this album promises to be a deeply personal and impactful release in 2026.

As for his songwriting & publishing journey,
He recently joined the Artist Tribe camp in Berlin & penned many songs with the greats in dance music. Kit also attended the biggest writing camp in the world in NYC, the Anti Social Camp featuring Jacob Collier, continuing his journey of collaboration and innovation.

I have written music & signed deals with major music publishers Fairwood & Sesac, Pitch Play, Galactic, Sentric, Tileyard Music.

Kit has a thriving Sync career with his music on several shows on ITV including Abbey Clancey’s Celebrity Homes, Dress To Impress & on Channel 4, A Place In The Sun with the amazing sync company Bspoke. He has just signed 2 tracks to the Cavendish roster.

Kit’s songwriting prowess is further highlighted by his success with his creative song writing Kamps, of which he has run 9 with his label KAR Records, which brings together hundreds of writers and producers to write for a variety of publishing opportunities. His role as a council member for the Ivors Academy LGBTQIA+ underscores his influence in the industry.

As a skilled violinist, Kit has toured with Leddra Chapman & Toploader supporting Ed Sheeran, Tom Jones, Beverly Knight & played many a festival across the UK & Europe.
