This is my debut album.  Contains 11 tracks.  Most tracks are in the 120BPM range but there are a few slower ones.  I experiment with a variety of sounds (orchestral, acoustic guitar, piano) all within the realm of electronic music.  Hope you enjoy!

Spatial Drift is the electronic alias of CA-based producer Alex Hammond. Spurred on by atmospheric electronica veterans such as Recoil, Solar Fields, and William Orbit, Alex immerses himself in various styles of downtempo, techno, ambient, and house rhythms. The result is a distinctive fusion of synthy IDM and old-school electronic club beats, akin to heavyweights like The Orb and The Future Sound Of London. A wide array of instrumental prowess can be observed on Spatial Drift’s debut album, An Ocean Called Space. Released in late 2022, the album varies in both tempo and mood, with bits of acoustic guitar, orchestral string arrangements, and thoughtful piano motifs. With his sophomore follow-up album on the horizon, Spatial Drift promises to deliver another engaging lineup of vintage home-listening soundscapes and beats.
