Angel Island Zone Act 2 V3.1

I've had this idea for a good while now, I always thought Metropolis Zone reminded me of early Prince, specifically the 1999 album. So I decided to recreate this classic in a style akin to that, using the LM-1 Rim to bring out the groove in the percussion some more. Thanks to Tony for lending some of his electric guitar for this one, I thought it was the right tone for the B section of this track.

The more I listen back to this, it's very reminiscent of Masa's Demo tape but I wanted a slightly more 'live' sound than that. Originally this was going to be more based on Earth Wind & Fire's 'Let's Groove' because I find parts of the bassline to carry a similar cadence but then I wanted to incorporate 'Best of My Love' by The Emotions some more during the 'chorus' section, so essentially it just turned into a 'pop-ish' piece.

This has been kicking about on my computer (as an unfinished FLP) for over half a year, so I thought I'd finish it up and upload it.

I used C700 to extract the SNES sounds- one thing I've noticed about SNES soundfonts is that some of the instruments don't seem to be in tune with one another, so when people use them the end result sounds like it's being performed by a school band. Not to mention, extracting the sounds yourself means you can use instruments that aren't present in any soundfont.
