Berlin based artist Max Dahlhaus grabs our attention with 'Short Morrow', his latest album on ‘Infinite Machine’, which is not only a view on life at the moment through the artist’s eyes, but a shout-out to everyone who is listening to see that change is inevitable.

Max’s third album is a collection of thoughts on society and the way we navigate this digitalised world while being observed by technology every step of the way.

Many sounds on 'Short Morrow' were recorded by Max during quarantine in 2020 in the empty streets of Berlin. "There weren't many people outside, but the all surrounding energy of what humans are was still there.", Max explains, when asked about the creative process.

His wanderings through the streets of his city took him to experience places that usually were filled with life and motion from a completely new perspective. "I had time to think about all the years that had passed and explore what I felt in exactly that moment. 'Short Morrow' represents my inner dialogue about different aspects of our digitally connected society and the life around it.", Max recalls and explains that "Electro magnetic fields are not visible, but they are recordable. For days I collected those sounds during the first lock down in the empty streets of the usually so quirky streets of Berlin."

The audience can follow Max’s explorations on the album, listening to the atmosphere shifting from experimental to rather clubby, and then back to sentimental in a blink of an eye. Sometimes it might give you the feeling of being lost, while the next track gives you a feeling of being hunted. The sound of the omnipresent electromagnetic waves in our life trails thought the whole album and gives it a dystopian undertone, which makes ‘Short Morrow’ an eyewitness record of the here and now, but also a tale of a possible near future.

Toksynna is a label with a style oriented only to experimental music, but this denomination can represent many types of sounds, it can have influences of all kinds. Perhaps, the best way to define their style is as an unconventional musical genre, as the tracks can be rhythmic or atmospheric, with hard and forceful textures or fragile and volatile, or we can make a more exhaustive analysis and specify if it is ambient, electronica, industrial, IDM or simply a mixture of trends.

The French duo InHuM'AwZ joins the Toksynna catalogue with an album inwhich the rhythmic elements prevail over the rest of the sound lines. Cephalotus is a 5-track with a style that mixes influences from various musical genres. Its slow metric can possibly place us in a peaceful style like downtempo, its forceful punch in some of the tracks can take us to an industrial scenario, its rhythmic conjugation can make us think that there is a small influence of break and electro, and its enveloping sound is determinant to merge all these concepts in a single idea.

La potencia conceptual de Virescence Records, que se basa en el binomio mente/naturaleza, por un lado, y el lado universal/psíquico, por el otro, llega a Club Furies: naturaleza y lugares enigmáticos, simpleza y complejidad, la esencia de Virescence. 

La disquera basada en Pereira, Colombia, presenta su nueva referencia en formato físico (casete) y digital: se trata de "Kleśa", un trabajo curado por Minjoon, fascinado por la unión de su conciencia de la pintura —algo de su trabajo lo pueden encontrar en los trabajos de arte que realiza para Artscope— con el sonido Techno.

Su lanzamiento en Virescence se sintetiza en el siguiente principio: “Ante cada cultura, apunta a la conciencia instintiva humana”. El extended play (EP) Kleśa expresa sufrimiento a través de los orígenes y dialectos de múltiples culturas humanas.

Sobre los tres elementos fundantes detrás de este pensamiento —Kleśa, Anusaya, Bandha— se despliegan seis canciones, cada una de las cuales obtiene un tratamiento único: una mezcla original y un remix.

De los productores que realizan su remix a su respectiva pista —Scøpe, Yóhan, Unclear, Adhémar, Martyn Päsch, Traversable Message—, Club Furies les presenta el estreno de la remezcla que realiza el productor mexicano Martyn Päsch a la original 'Aldaw', la pista que abre este increíble trabajo de Minjoon por Virescence —por lo que agradecemos a Virescence Records—.

The work of Germany’s Stefan Leßner, Omnia is the producer’s debut solo EP. It is also his first appearance for Darkfloor Sound. Over five years in the making, the four tracks of the EP grew and matured like life itself. Bittersweet cathartic sound that revolves loosely around a techno and industrial framework, but produced from an emotive core.

The dubby slow groove of Lose Your Shadow is our cathartic opening track. A shadow of someone once a heavy burden on the shoulders of Ezuri, now no longer.
