Georgie Boy is a Tbilisi-based DJ who experiments with a wide variety of sound selection. He tries to create this aesthetic organism by mixing music of different styles and genres. Georgie joined the local scene two years ago and has been working intensively to expand his skills. In the nearest future he plans to get into producing. 

His choice is mostly fast music that, in a way, is related to the rhythm of life. Sometimes his music may come off as too noisy or dusty, at times clean and precise. Too deep and detailed or translucent. The scale of his music is dynamic – one must stay open to experiments. Balancing and harmonizing this dynamic is the purpose, as it is a reflection of our spirits. We must be honest in what we do and be able to express our emotions in the purest way possible.

based in Freiburg, URTE has shaped Freiburgs scene since several years and played for our events two times already. Right now she's taking a little time out, but she's well known for her productions and her wide range of well selected electronic music. 
"Permafrost" - which was released in 2020 via the London label Coyote Records - forms URTE's debut EP, detailing four vivid and intensely cinematic tracks that traverse her love of grime, breakbeats, ethereal trance and ambient. Since then, she has released music with various collectives and labels, including Raiders, WARNING and Infinito Audio. Her latest release came out this year and is called "parallel heights". It was also released on Coyote Records and is shaped by percussive, breakbeat rhythms and dreamy, melancholic melodies. 
Together with fellow DJ and producer ANOUC she forms one half of the duo https://soundcloud.com/3_d_3_n which is focused on forward-thinking electronic music. This year they curated their first event at Bar am Funkeneck, more to come!

We are very happy to welcome her to our series! Her mix is characterized by various genres, such as jungle, breakbeat, UK Bass and travelling through different moods. With this mix, she definitely takes you on a journey!

Developing his taste as a raver in the north west, with family members and a close circle well embedded in the local club and rave scene - Joey naturally fell into throwing parties as soon as he was old enough to do so. Now with years of experience, this life really came to the fore after moving to Barcelona, where he began promoting illegal loft and warehouse parties, which evolved into the multi-city 01366 label and event brand, that he co-manages today.

The nickname may suggest something aggressive, but it only points to the violence that is an inherent part of the creative act, while also referencing the most elemental and omnipresent component of our lives today. Here a data attack is nothing more than the relationship between art and our senses in its purest state, regardless of the form it takes. And whether in his poignant visual work or in his powerful musical work, it is this primal impulse that fuels the imagination of Brasilia native Stenio Freitas.

After all, he expresses himself in an already long-lasting career as an audiovisual chronicler of the human and inhuman aspects of their hometown, as an architect of the recovery of public spaces through mural interventions and as a director of events that were part of a movement that injected energy into nightlife of the capital during the last decade. It was within the IMÃ collective and its Grau parties that he materialized his initial impetus in this field, in an impulse that was followed by many other initiatives and extended to the present day, including transformative projects such as SUB IN MUNDO as part of the collective SUJO or the SNM Sessions and Electro Resistência with the SNM core to its own legendary Crying Club parties.

Thus, the rediscovery of urban, dreamlike, aesthetic and community dimensions relegated to abandonment or oblivion is the main theme of his work as a music selector and cultural producer. Something that manifests itself even more clearly in its presence on the Nice & Deadly label, an endeavor in which it not only plays a curatorial role, but mainly transposes the ethics and aesthetics it applies to its other activities in putting together an impeccable catalogue. One that is based not only on revisiting genres and reevaluating styles in an uncritical or anachronistic way, but reinventing them for our times.

What I wrote below was heart felt but presumptuous and pretentious.  I would have to not be stupid myself to be allowed to claim such a thing.  More importantly though, I don't believe it is correct or accurate.  These people are probably not stupid but just don't care.  Justice is a collective thing and many if not most people seem to live in bubbles.  It is perhaps economic oppression which is responsible, they just don't have the resources, the time, the energy to be concerned about what lies behond that bubble.  It used to be fine but there's this thing they call globalization which makes this increasingly impractical or impossible.

mid January 2024:
Justice and vengeance are not the same.  Apparently most people are too stupid to see the difference.  Unfortunately it is not something unique to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and not unique to group conflicts.

What happened to intelligence?  Aren't we supposed to be the "intelligent" specie.
