Fergus Sweetland's sound is a visceral exploration of groove and rhythm, rooted in fundamental human instincts.

The Melbourne-born, London-based artist crafts unique contemporary techno by blending moods, textures, and atmospheres with an innate sense of storytelling. Music has been a cornerstone of Fergus' life. Inspired by his mother’s eclectic taste, he grew up immersed in the sounds of US3, Gorillaz, Roy Orbison, Groove Armada, and more.
Initially producing house music, Fergus discovered his passion for techno after experiencing Marcel Dettmann’s transformative performance at Rainbow Serpent Festival in 2015. With over 15 years of production experience, Fergus draws from his love of jazz, bossa nova, rap, ambient, and electronic music to create dynamic, boundary-pushing techno. His DJ sets mirror this ethos, guiding audiences on an immersive sonic journey.

Fergus is a key member of the Hayes Collective, having consistently released his music on the esteemed Portuguese label since 2020. His work has also found a home on Illegal Alien, NRBK, Ear To Ground, Connection Verified, and Codec Recordings, in addition to his own imprint, Pressure Systems. Pressure Systems embodies the philosophy that sound is pressure and music is its system. The label champions total creative freedom and authenticity, reflecting the physical and emotional power of sound as a medium for deep self-expression.

✘ ...and maybe could you tell us more how did you get into the music cooking pot?
When I turned three years old my aunt gifted me a yellow cassette radio with a microphone and I carried it everywhere and was singing and recording all the time. Since then it was my biggest dream to be on stage and sing. With 8 I started to play accordeon for eight years. I didn’t really grow up in a surrounding that supported my creativity and then as a teenager somehow I was only singing for myself and I couldn’t sing in front of people anymore - I guess I just thought I am not good enough. I studied marketing and set foot in the business world. In 2017 I moved to bali and was living there back and forth until I moved to vienna in 2023. In bali I found my biggest passion again, that I was hiding for many years: music. I started to sing again and also decided to go back to university to study “electronic music and sound design”. Since 2023 I am DJing and also producing. I am surrounded by amazing, passionate musicians now and couldn’t be happier and proud of myself that I was courageous enough to walk this path. It is like a new, colourful world opening up and I am super grateful for everything that I am learning :)

It’s always good to know that music is in safe hands. From time to time the relentless pace of social media and its affect on dance music ‘trends’ can lead us to forgetting what it’s always been really about.

Anna Malysz is a key figure in the German underground, working in numerous capacities hosting dj workshops and as a member of various collectives and projects including the DRIVE series at the recently closed Institut fuer Zukunft, as part of the local club culture network “Livekomm Leipzig” and in the curation of ambient music as part of the Nachtdigital Festival programme.

A keen DJ, she has played at the likes of Paloma, Watergate, about:blank and Golden Pudel and is well versed in a broad array of styles and sounds.

This mix sits at nearly three hours long, demonstrating the far reaching taste Anna has built up. It’s a heady assortment of sounds which lends itself perfectly for the headphones and comes highly recommended.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
