A battle of powerhouses (or so we thought) took place this weekend in Germany as we watched the Phins drop their 3rd loss against a good franchise in the Chiefs. This was followed up by a Cowboy collapse in Philly which led the boys to ask the question, are these teams really Elite or do they just have Potential? Justin and Dashawn chime in on their week 9 NFL takeaways as we pass the midway point of the season.

Dolphins, Cowboys and Bills all fall to superior QB's as the powerhouses begin to separate themselves...so who is the NFL's best team? Is it the Eagles, Ravens, Chiefs? A hot Joe Burrow leading a Bengals charge but can he overthrow Mahomes in Arrowhead?
Plus the Michigan scandal on the cusp of another suspension, so will this be the demise of Big Blue? With 3 games remaining on the schedule and a huge test at Penn State, can Michigan afford to lose Harbaugh this week? Conference championships are looming so any slip up could be catastrophic. Episode #164:  ELITE vs. POTENTIAL

This weekend showcased true competition as there were six game winning field goals in the final seconds around the NFL. Two coming at the expense of AFC North favorites including the Ravens and Bengals. That followed with an epic ending to the Monday Night Broncos Bills thriller as the Bills dropped another game, all but sealing their playoff hopes. Justin and Dashawn chime in on the division race and get you up to speed on the rest of the league.
Ravens blow a 14 point 4th quarter lead to division foe Cleveland as the race for the North tightens. With Lamar and company struggling to close games, how much faith do we have in Baltimore to make a deep postseason push? On the flip side, CJ Stroud continued his rookie campaign with a stunning comeback against the Bengals, halting the 4 game win streak. With the Bengals traveling to Baltimore on Thursday, is this a must win?
And of course with the College Football Season closing, we look toward the CFP rankings where Florida State remains strong in the 4th spot. Harbaugh suspension didn't slow down Michigan but will a weak schedule slow down Florida State? And with Georgia obliterating Ole Miss, can anyone actually compete with the dawgs?

Episode #165: KING IN THE NORTH

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the Out of My League Podcast! We hope everyone is able to enjoy a nice weekend of family, food, fun and football. The crew checks in on this special holiday edition to talk rivalry week in college, as well as the NFL NFL week recap with a lookahead to Thanksgiving and beyond.
The Superbowl rematch between the Eagles and Chiefs did not disappoint, as the Eagles battled back down 10 at the half, to hold the Chiefs scoreless in the 2nd half, winning 21-17. Mahomes' magic ran out as his receivers let him down yet again late, ending the game with multiple dropped passes. Can the Chiefs compete in the postseason with a weak receiver core, or will it finally be another representative from the AFC?
Meanwhile the Eagles sit atop the NFC with a 9-1 record, while the other 3 NFC favorites play on Thanksgiving. The Lions, Cowboys and 49ers all square off on Thursday but which one is the biggest threat to Philly? Dak is playing MVP caliber football while the Lions and 49ers continue their dominance. So who do we trust moving forward?

Episode #166: Time To Eat! Thanksgiving Edition

Rivalry week brought some epic competition as we saw Alabama Florida State and others edge wins to keep their season hopes alive. Then Sunday followed up with a showdown in Philly as the Eagles battled back to beat the Bills in the game of the year! The boys chime in on this week's podcast to discuss their CFB predictions as we hit Conference Championship week, and the NFL playoff race with just six games remaining. 
The Eagles hold the NFL's best record and a two game lead in the NFC while the AFC picture is separated by one game. Chiefs, Jaguars and Dolphins all with 8 wins while the Ravens sit atop at 9. Episode #167: From Rivals to Champions

Conference Championship Week shook the College Football landscape as Alabama defeated two-time reigning defending champion Georgia and catapulted their way into the CFP Top-4. This ultimately caused chaos as undefeated ACC Champion Florida State was booted to 5th, ending their playoff journey and sending the sports world into a frenzy. A sad Justin checks in with his partner Dashawn as they recap the big decision and what led to the ultimate downslide of Nole Nation.
Michigan, Washington, Texas and Alabama top the final 4 rankings as Nole Nation drops to 5th. Was it fair? System broken? Did the committee truly put the 4 BEST teams in? This was the first time an undefeated Power 5 Conference Champion missed the playoff, but is it right to blame Jordan Travis injury?
We also seen Dashawn's Eagles get obliterated at home by the Debo and the 49ers. So does this mean the Niners are the best in the NFL? A tight race in both the NFC and AFC at the top so who needs home field advantage the most? Mahomes has never played on the road in the playoffs, but with a skid and a Lawrence injury, is it now the Ravens conference to lose?

The Lakers are you 2023 Inaugural In-Season Tournament Champions...big deal! Lebron adds another achievement to his extended resume, but Justin is not going for it. Free Agency kicked off with some big spenders and bag collectors as Kirk Cousins finessed yet another outstanding contract, this time from the Atlanta Falcons. The crew checks in on this edition of the Out of My League Podcast to get you up to speed on all the big moves around the NFL.

Danger Russ and Kirk Cousins both found new homes, but which one can have the bigger impact on their franchise?
