started out as bass player in a metal band in longmont colorado in the 80's called Interlocken. Interlocken is a lake in Europe with a town between two lakes. so my buddy and I were two separate lakes bound by a city of music..... hence Interlocken. with my best friend Steve, who played guitar, I played bass. we had a drummer that never showed up he said he had a drum kit. It turns out was a Childs toy and all the skins were broken and the one cymbal was cracked! Steve and I shared instruments all the time and I fell in love with guitar and he with bass. we still have our old instruments he has the bass and I have the guitar. kid you not, we were awful. not even just bad, I mean painful bad. we used to invite our girlfriends to watch us practice, we played through a 8 channel peavy mixer into a yamaha guitar amp, we would crank the thing and play Megadeth Boots, circle jerks american heavy metal weekend, slayer die by the sward, and a few others. we knew a handful of songs we would play over and over. we messed around with some stuff we wrote. even had a album cover i drew on colored school paper! I drew it in history class! we have a live cassette tape from back in the day highly horrible stuff. but hey we thought we were cool. so on my birthday in july 86 I turned 18, we were at some friends house they asked me how Interlocken was going . I responded that it was good and I had a solo project also.... called Loner, cuz i was all alone. made it up on the spot as a joke. we gave it a good laugh. but loner stuck with me. any way, in fall of 86 i went to a studio and took classes it was a small private studio for the sax player with pure prairie league, his wife was the teacher Lisa Clawson. I loved it! i was hooked. I worked on two demos with Jock Bartley, and the bass player for a boulder band called the Fournicators,I don't remember his name but he was super cool to me. Larry Esphie {RIP} who worked a The Music Store in boulder introduced me to Craig Roush who was the sound man from the Blue Note in Boulder colorado and he took me under his wing and showed me the world of live sound. the need for growing and jobs took over my life and i dabbled with guitar over the years. in 2015 i participated in a dream come true! i was in a world class studio SWEETWATER SOUND in Fort Wayne Indiana with David Ellefson and Frank Bello, as they did a demo for a Attitudes and Altitude....www.altitudesandattitude.com. this totally got back interested in studio work, I got my own studio going. I subscribe to dueling mixes,Graham Cochrane, Recording Revalution posted a encouraging message about making a song from scratch and publishing it...... 

thats why I am hear with my first attempt. I will keep going and hopefully you will enjoy the journey as much as I do.

After a fateful night of playing Initial D and playing acoustic guitar together, Douglas and Josh decided to start two bands that night, one called "Dances with Nickels" which was a joke band that sung about anything it could, and "Agito Plus Nine" a real band that played songs about girls, video games and movies.

They went on as a two piece for quite awhile writing many songs they still enjoy today. Eventually their high school had a spring assembly and bands were encourage to try out. So they enlisted Steve "Zoidberg" on drums and actually got on the assembly. After playing with Zoidberg for awhile they found Steve Metcalf who is a genius at everything music but for some reason decided to play with them. This line up would be considered the first true lineup and would play a handful of more shows including, battle of the bands and Cary band night.

However due to Douglas developing severe agoraphobia they disbanded late in 2005. Josh and Steve would go on to form "A Robot" a band that was still in a way close to Agito Plus Nine style but with better recordings and keyboard. Douglas went on to start the ill fated band "the Radical Dreamers" which didn't last long due to his agoraphobia and several unfortunate events. Douglas would later start a band called "We Can't Make It Right" and went on to play Cary Jame Fest. A Robot and We Can't Make It Right would even play together once thus bringing Josh and Douglas back together musically. They wrote two more Agito Plus Nine songs then stopped to pursue making videos with their show "Doomstink". Josh then gave music up and started a video game company called "Mighty Rabbit Studios", Douglas would join street punk band "The Shotdowns" and Steve went off to pursue a career in classical music.

But Josh and Douglas could never really leave Agito Plus Nine, still getting together writing horrible songs they found funny.

Then came Chris Cooper. He works with Josh in Mighty Rabbit Studios making video games. One day Douglas met him and found in him a kindred spirit and could not believe the three of them had never teamed up before. So with the idea started, things begin to take shape and friendships started to bond. Now after years of laying low and listening to what is called good pop punk now and days, Agito Plus Nine has decided to show everyone how music should sound, horrible, but catchy and fun!

LCD, or Lowest Common Denominator have been scraping the bottom of the musical barrel since their inception in the year 2000. Starting off as some sort of bad joke, LCD were determined to create a new cultural industry, but in the end that seemed like too much work. Beginning life as a three piece outfit, LCD’s ranks have swelled and waned, incorporating like minded artists into the flow, as the mood suited them. Having collaborated with Raceless (Curse Ov Dialect), Julie Burleigh, Moforahrah (Christopher LG Hill), Elf Transporter, The Frustrations, lego drummers, and many more, LCD settled into a two-piece in the mid-2000s and has been ever since. Ennio Swaggart and Elron Mancini’s eclectic madness steers the good ship LCD into torrents of sound, fragments of noise, beautiful flowers, annoying habits, interactive practices and questionable musicianship, LCD desperately try to sort the Hodge from the Podge.

Lab coats, slide shows, video screens, random instrumentation, Masonic ritual, improvised chaos, good times. Lowest Common Denominator have appeared on several local compilations, on labels such as Spill and From The Same Mother, as well as self releasing several Long Playing albums on Compact Disc. Always pushing the boundaries of sensibility, LCD attempted to perform a 12 hour show in 2004, but were shut down by the man, after our horrible noise filtered through to the stages of the comedy festival. Hilarious. Weird dancing in ATM kiosks. Psychedelic scientists. Kicking the bucket. Painting the town brown. Low frequency oscillations. Praise “Bob”. Discordian accordians. Slug love. It’s hard to be disappointed with expectations so low.
