Anthony Brancati is a Toronto based 22-year-old award-winning musician and a recent Honuors graduate of Humber College’s esteemed Bachelor of Music Degree. He has quickly become known for his musical diversity in various instruments and styles including blues, funk, rock n’ roll, jazz, and pop, as well as his energetic personality on keys and sax whether on the stage, in the studio, or as a producer.  

Brancati’s playing is often compared to such greats as Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chester Thompson, and Oscar Peterson. His musical diversity and consistent reliability have put him into a wide range of musical opportunities in recent years as he has become one of Toronto’s most sought after musicians. Brancati has had the opportunity to perform in various festivals internationally and has been involved in many projects as well as his own. He has had the privilege to regularly work with some of Toronto’s most established musicians including Larnell Lewis (Snarky Puppy), Robi Botos (Nikki Yanofsky, Dave Young), Andrew Craig, Hilario Duran (Michael Brecker, Paquito D’Rivera), Matthew Burnett (Two-time Grammy nominated Producer), Paula Brancati (TV/Stage Actress/Singer), Mark Kelso (Chaka Khan, Humber Music Department Head), Prakash John (Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Parliament Funkadelic), Shirantha Beddage, (Juno Award Winner, Humber Music Department Head), and Liberty Silver (3 time Juno Award Winner).

Anthony’s skills extend to film scoring, teaching piano, saxophone, drums, or voice as well as theory, improvisation, arranging, and audition preparation. In January 2013, Anthony completed the musical score to a short film, Water’s Edge, written, directed, and starred by Michael Seater from Disney Channel’s hit television show, Life With Derek and CBC’s 18 to Life and he also composed the title theme for “Sly Cad” (BrancSeater Productions) which was screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
