The Grill Marketing & Consulting is a full service radio promotion and marketing company based out of Nashville, Tennessee. 

The Grill was established in April of 2005 and is focused on marketing emerging, developing and established artists to alternative specialty radio, while also offering consultation for record labels and independent artists. We put our heart and soul into every artist we work with. The Grill embraces this ideal and utilizes everything that it’s owner, Michael Newman, used to build the specialty show department at McGathy Promotions from 2002 – 2005. After McGathy Promotions closed down their radio department, Mr. Newman established The Grill Marketing & Consulting.

With over 20 years of experience in the music business, Mr. Newman ran the college radio and marketing department at Virgin Records for 2 1/2 years after graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he was a local college representative for Virgin for 3 years. After almost 6 years at Virgin he went on to UGO.com to work with not only music, but also video games and film. 

In 2002, Mr. Newman moved to McGathy Promotions and headed up the specialty show department, where he also facilitated relationships between commercial radio stations and Best Buy in a developing artist program. “Newman is one of the most knowledgeable and hard working employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” says Bill McGathy, owner of In De Goot Entertainment. “As my company moves forward, I give my full support to The Grill.” 

Since then, The Grill has fostered successful radio campaigns for such diverse artists like: Ryan Adams, Neon Trees, The Decemberists and Massive Attack, to name a few. “When you approach airplay from a marketing perspective, like Newman and The Grill do, it not only makes sense, it adds great value. Hello Everyone! MidnightSky here! I welcome all of you in open arms here within my music block! As well as some things that you should know about me: I am a gamer that loves to cook, sing, create music, do digital art, do voice acting, and I also love doing acting too! I’m of course also an actor myself, but an actor at my school, and I’m a fairly large dreamer. (P.S. I also love Horror, Anime, & Animations/Animated Memes)

Another thing to know is that I never get up and I’m very supportive towards others. I’ve been inspired by a lot of artists, (via. Musicians, Digital Artists, actual artists, etc.). I’ve also been inspired by my sister, (who is a boy that’s transgender), and I support her so much. Anywho, I better get going, but before I go, you must not forget these few things:

   3. “May the Sun Shine on You as You Go.”
