I LOVE the lyrics to this.  Music that tells a story is the best.  I just listened to a rap song that repeated the same 3 words over and over and only sang 2 notes ( on every song)  So boring.

This is a song about the impermanence of relationships. In my younger years I assumed the people I knew would always be there and I would mourn the loss of those who drifted out of my life for whatever reason. Now I see it’s the temporary nature of relationships and everything else in life that gives it meaning.
