O número 8 (oito) é, universalmente, considerado o símbolo do equilíbrio cósmico. É um número que possui um valor de mediação entre o círculo e o quadrado, entre a terra e o céu, e por isso está relacionado com o mundo intermediário e um simbolismo de equilíbrio central e com a justiça.
É comum que o número seja lembrado junto ao infinito, cujo símbolo é o 8 deitado.

Devido a esse simbolismo o 8 representa o ilimitado, o fluxo sem início ou fim. Este símbolo é formado por uma curva geométrica em formato do número oito na horizontal.

Cabe lembrar que essa característica o associa à inexistência de nascimento e de morte e assim, o envolve nas dualidades físico/espiritual e terreno/divino.
