Here is a brief Synopsis about the game and from Aaron from his perspective as director

"Seraphina is an android replica with her AI system Gabriel on a journey of self discovery to find answers about who she is and the part she plays within this vast world.”

"...I wanted the game to dive into a more natural world with leanings toward a "solarpunk" aesthetic, a blend of technology aiding the natural world as opposed to having negative impacts on the planet. The protagonist is a highly advanced android who has lost her memories of her past as a machine that was created for the military."

From my end of things, this track is inspired in both Seraphina, The world where the game takes place and an aestehtic framework inspired by Studio Ghibli and some of my influences sich as Joe Hisiashi and Yoko Shimomura.

I love the thematic of dreams, and the idea of music as being the sound of our soul. The idea of music being a way to explore Seraphinas sense of wonder and awe as she experiences her adventure, but also, having the music add character and life into the mysteries that this world holds is the basis for the inspiration of this particular track. Initially, I was looking to find a main theme for the game and though it evolved into a different concept, the thread still holds; Seraphinas soul.

Thematic cohesiveness is something I love from music composers that I admire. Although I want to take the players into a journey full of different emotional colors, I want the music of the game to make the player feel a sense of belonging in this adventure through a sense of sonority and cohesiveness.

Although this is only the beginning for me as I conceptualize the Audio Direction of the game, It's been extremely gratifying to be a part of this project and I am excited to keep tagging along Seraphinas Journey through this mysterious world and the adventures it holds.

Inspired by a lot of the soundtrack from the Sonic franchise of games. I wanted to respect a lof the modern on the soundtrack of music while also diving a bit  into Afro-Caribbean rhythms

Ambition - "Amongst Us" By Gilde Flores

The idea of writing a short story based on this piece has has been on my mind for sometime now. When I made the piece I wanted to write a story based on the music, as it kade it more intuitive for me.  However, I am not writer so I could only base it only a small premise and let the music guide the rest of what I made so far. 

The premise was inspired by The Little aprince. It alludes to the story of a child who travels through many distant worlds. Years have passed and he has become an adult, getting trapped far in a distant galaxy from his home, eventually finding himself lost in in the cosmos.

The music is not exactly cinematic as it does not exactly refer to an event, but rather to the sentiments behind Liliac childhood memories from his venture, while later in the piece,  in the music evokes a change of scenery and space that reflects the events that took place along Liliac internal emotional sentiments reflected through music.

 A lot of the inspiration for this music always goes back to my strong affinity for the music of Nintendo. In this case, a lot of the feeling or sense of childhood and adeventure is strongly influenced by two games: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Mario Galaxy. Huge respect to its composers Kenta Nagata Hajime Wakai Toru Minegishi Koji Kondo and Mahito Yakota for their outstanding work and for creating such memorable works of music.

Liliac Fable - Overture: Rememberance

“Egea is a story in the making that began with my utmost respect for Japanese composer, Joe Hisaishi, Yoko Shimomura, Vicente Diamante and Koji Kondo, along with the raw inspiration that watching Hayao Miyazaki Films causes.  To me, Miyazaki films represents many things, but there are two things that stand out to me. These are, the reflection of a fine balance between  artistic integrity but in addition and in harmony, a focus towards the theme of growth. Respecting and abiding by those things one believes to represent what one deems beautiful in any medium art,  but also accepting change and perspectives from others, through a sense of connectedness with the context reflected by our changing times has always been integral to my development. One may argue this is a simply a necessity to collaborate and to be a professional when creating art, but I’d say that although this resonates with me as truthful, I’d rather see it was what is really means to me: that any form or art allows and breathes a  space and opportunity for one to show their inner world as they perceive it, and also one that allows to embrace and understand the inner world other peoples sensibility. And thus, collaborative are creates emotional connections that incorporate the unconsciousness and the consciousness from people all over the world. Needless to change, Art can provoke change, profound change. 

The piece was composed by a touch of inspiration after exiting the theater and watching “A Castle in The Sky”,  “Kiki's Delivery Service”, “Spirited Away” and “Howl’s Moving Castle”, along with  a tiny idea coming from a non-writer like myself.

Myths of Egea: Departure, is a collection of thematic ideas that dive into the story of a boy who inherited the spirit of adventure from his ancestors tribe, the Tinoa. A tribe shrouded and lost both in the memory of everyone, with nothing but legends scarcely being passed down for generations. A young boy named Din, dreams of finding  Nulashimwi, the world of dreams,  one of legend but believed by Din to be real. With only a map that he finds laying hidden near his home left by his deceased father after years of training and preparations Din  set of and ventures into the vastness of the world of Egea in search for this mythical land. 
The music here alludes to Dins past memories and experiences with his father, his venture,  and his innermost desire to fulfill his deceased father wish to search and find Nulashimwi.

Myths of Egea: Departure

a Second reiteration of Ultima Termina.

This piece is directly inspired in a character from the  Kingdom Hearts franchise. More specifically, a character from Kingdom Hearts:Birth By Sleep; Terra. 

In the story, Terra loses his  heart, ( a deviation from the traditional use of the term soul as employed in fantasy genres of art ) to the antagonist force of the games, Master Xehanort. However, Terra heart being as strong as it is, finds a way to interact with his armor in attempt to use his last remaining strength to defeat Xehanort. 

Yoko Shimomura is one of my favorite composers, and this work is directly inspired by her work. Where my work deviates is on several aspects of the harmonic idiom utilized, and the overall digital production tools employed  to create it.
