A DJ & Producer from Portsmouth who's changing his love for music into a lifestyle. 
On a mission to create smiles & dutty faces.

Stemming from a young age Joel's passion and involvement with music, mixing & dancing has been a staple part of life.
Long following the underground scene, and a decade of involvement and love ￼later, he’s taking the journey to the next level.

Recently playing for many local promoters/party's in his hometown with big selecta's such as Rossi, Eats Everything, Chris Stussy, Fabe, Pach, Madvilla, Wheats, Suat and Soul Divide. ￼ 
Local spots such as The Spinnaker Tower, The Astoria, Moonshine Club, and South Parade Pier are some of the spaces he’s got to entice the crowd in & down into a journey of his sounds.

Each have a time and a place and Joel takes pride in the manor his digital library is organized, allowing an easy tailored selection of beats to provide for each and every gig 😏


That being said, Bouncy Deep Tech with strong rolly baselines are favourite choices he loves to play for the dance’ providing an array of powerful bass driven tracks with swingy drums and stabby chords.
Plus with the occasional use of dubby Urban/Grime remix's and acapellas blended in his sets, Joel's experimental side is commonly at hand to add something different yet familiar.

The journey into nights behind the decks is one that makes him feel at home.

Going back to the music that started his love for house, Mister Sledge's mixing and productions are all things funky, soulful, disco and jackin.

Also launching his own label, Shame Records, Mister Sledge is pushing his sound out on all channels!

SHIFTFeest provides parties and music for the people by the people !
Our parties are located in different venues and areas on the south coast, from licensed bars & pubs to letted out land for those festival feels.
