This week's disc again features the melodeon playing of Ann McNulty and the dancing steps of her daughter Eileen. The were recorded in 1942 and released on the Decca label (12258).

This week's prompt was to create the sound of a nightmare that resolved to a soothing C6/9 chord.

I pretty much worked backwards, recording longtones on my melodica and then pitch-shifting them down to C2, E2, A2, and D3 (whether the sound of a melodica is soothing or not is up to your personal taste). Then I shmudged them up using various FX plug-ins that had wet/dry knobs.

I mapped the wet/dry mix to one macro knob in Ableton so the percentage of noise-causing would decrease at the same rate for each plugin.

It was a fun tour through my lesser-used plug-ins. Shout out to Puremagnetik, whose plug-ins showed up a lot in the various fx chains.

About this contribution: 
I started playing with a few and ultimately ended up working with @SinnySounds "Two Over Three" with its catchy persistent poly-rhythms in 6/8. I layered in some sounds that came out of the same live session as the beat I shared for my Rhythm Kit contribution last week. I wanted some low end drum sounds, so I added @Freeways rhythm kit track "M8@DAFDrum>M8" with it's huge bass sound.
