Zeric Zahir a.k.a “Ze!”

 is a native of Augusta, Ga. If music had walls Ze! would tear them down with his genre-defying Hello World EP on Nylon Trax. Ze! is an eclectic, free-spirited producer/artist having grown with the culture from day one, producing in a wide range of styles, not limited to soul, house, hip hop, and acid jazz. Ze! strongly believes in the power of music to change things, speaking directly in a language all his listeners can feel… a language called “soul.” The Hello World EP is led by two evocative remixes by renowned producer and label founder Jaymz Nylon. “I Feel So Good,” featuring Jay Rodriguez, works an insistent broken beat rhythm, exotic flute lines, and the heavily processed lead vocal into a powerful dance-floor statement. Next is Jaymz ‘Reshape’ of “I’m In The House” featuring a more typical four-on-the-floor rhythm with a menagerie of atypical pads, vocal stabs, and other unique production elements. The EP closes with Ze!’s original work, including the soulful and spacey downtempo of “I Love It When The Beat Comes Together With You” (assisted by Jaymz and Jay Rodriguez) and the more hip-hop influenced original version of “I Feel So Good.” Ze! is also one half of the deep and soulful house duo “Electric Kollective Groove“(EKG). Timothy White

Native of Charleston SC., now residing in Atlanta GA., Inspired by hip-hop a driven culture and R&B roots, with the stems to blues and international rhythms. RuKuZ also know as Dj RuKuZ has superb music skills that includes song writing, music production, song arrangement and of course Dj Skills. Co-produced along side producer “NITTI“, in which has produced music for legendary rap artist “Eightball & MJG” amongst others. Co-wrote with new member of the R&B group “Escape” new member “Keisha” on various projects. Also assisted in road management for SoSo Def Recording artist “Ms.Behavin‘ also known as MISS B.”. Dj Rukuz as blessed many crowds with his extended library which creates an atmosphere that any dance crowd would enjoy. RuKuZ ha also played at events with Coke Zero during tailgating events for college homecomings and football calssics. Dj Rukuz has played all across the country, “The Room” L.A. California, “Ocean Blue” Tampa Fla., “Club Deisel ” Columbia Tenn., “Sutra,” Atlanta Ga. Just to name a few including Miami and New York, in which he has also open for one of hip-hops founding fathers “DJ Red Alert”. RuKuZ has extended his collection of music to EDM,Trap Electronic House and Deep House, in which now he is producing along with “Ze!” as they make up the group “Electric Kollective Groove” (EKG) as well as delivering killer DJ sets across the nation.

Rhythm Plate consist of Matt Rhythm and Ant Plate who hail from the beautifully backward peak district town of Matlock. They first met at school where it quickly became apparent that they had the same make of orthopaedic shoe, meaning they quite literally got off on the right foot. This, combined with their mutual love of shoplifting, warm real ale and bad puns meant that they were soon finalising a plan for musical stardom.

Their recording career initially began in Plate's parents caravan in Bridlington (motto: if the music's rockin', don't bother knockin') but they soon outgrew this and moved into a multi purpose, state of the art allotment shed much nearer Matlock.

Their reputation as musical visionaries soon began to spread due to their infamous 'Derbyshire cubs and brownies DJ tour' which culminated in an all-dayer at Starkholmes village hall. This fact alone would have made the front page of the Matlock Miracle Newspaper were it not for one young raver drinking too much Kia-Ora and having to be stomach pumped. Early attempts at pop stardom were hampered by their crippling tourettes syndrome, however an intensive course of hypnotherapy soon sorted this problem out. The only problem now is that whenever they hear a certain Todd Terry hi-hat pattern they have a full on relapse.

After conquering the bourgeoning pub scene in Matlock these boompty bumpkins decided to think a bit bigger - releasing on such deep house heavyweights as Mantis, Winding Road, DiY, Lost My Dog, Bluem, Flat & Round and Procreation. As well as this they have also remixed/ruined tunes by respected artists such as Mark Ronson, The Frames, Amp Fiddler, Atjazz, Inland Knights, Lawnchair Generals, BRS, Brooks and Pete Dafeet.

These productions have been well received occasionally appearing on BBC Radio 1 and compilations such as Groove Armada 'Another Late Night', Ministry of Sound 'Chillout Ibiza', Hed Kandi 'Beach House 2' and also on the TV show 'CSI Miami' despite the fact that all of them are recorded at 126bpm and blatantly use the same kick drum.

They also started a monthly deep house club night 'DETUNE' in Chesterfield of all places, which continued strong for four years: quite amazing when you hear some of the drivel they used to play.

Should the need arise they also DJ elsewhere, using the Transpeak Bus service to carry their much sought after cassingle collection to gigs. Expect house, disco, funk, soul, waltz, forgotten pop tracks and whatever else they can find in charity shops.

At present Plate sells deep house insurance and Rhythm is a dancer.

Sherry Ruth Anderson, Ph.D. is a writer and speaker who started delving into the matter of growing old by the time she turned fifty. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she was a curious kid, staggering home from the library with towers of books in her arms. Wanting to discover other worlds. By thirty-five, working as a research psychologist and raising a family in Toronto, she was looking not so much for escape but for penetrating questions. In her forties, settled in Northern California, she was writing about questions that wouldn't go away. First, there was the best selling The Feminine Face of God: The Unfolding of the Sacred in Women (Bantam, 1991), with Patricia Hopkins, and then category best seller The Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People are Changing the World (Harmony/Random House, 2000), with Paul H. Ray. Her latest book, also with questions at the core, is Ripening Time: Inside Stories for Aging with Grace (Changemakers Books, 2013). Organisers of Scotland’s biggest triathlon took £1 million insurance to protect swimmers in Loch Ness against monster bites. It’s about taking a risk that might as well be non-existent. Swimmers in Loch Ness (Antwerp) are an equally infamous monster. In the hot summer of 2006 they recorded a diy demo in a barn on the Antwerp left bank. Not a year later the Swimmers had the pleasure to play the aftershow for Belgian radio host Ayco Duyster (Studio Brussel) at Trix, Antwerp. They played supports for Daturah (D), The Evpatoria Report (CH) and Thee, Stranded Horse (FR). Since 2008 they have taken a new drummer and started working on new songs, which are being recorded at present.

I first started playing piano when I was six. I remember the day coming home from school with my brand new piano sitting in our living room. My dad was waiting for me and was excited to see me play. While I didn't know any songs at the time, I was immediately infatuated and have been in love ever since. 

I took lessons until March 2008 and during my first six years, I played in many recitals at the Library, Fairfield University, at my school, etc. 

In third grade, I also started singing. I was always in the school chorus and in my last year of middle school, eighth grade, I was in Select Choir. 

Music has been my passion. In a way it is my escape, a different way for me to use my brain and celebrate life. 

I  hope to expand my knowledge and will welcome feedback when I start posting my compositions (not for a while though, my brain is busy with school work!)

As a toddler, Paul “Dj Stamma” Watson has always been a lover of music, whenever his mother had her cassette radio he would use two cassettes at once as a means to mix music like the other DJ’s did on the radio and at parties or dances. While growing up Stamma spent a lot of his Holidays in the hills of St. Ann where he would sneak out for dances to listen to the sounds of Bass Odyssey, Stone Love, KilaManjaro, Small Axe and many more. What inspired Stamma the most about these Sound Systems was how their song selections and delivery had the people in a frenzy with each song, Stamma wanted to do the same and More.

The Young Disc Jock From the sunshine city of Portmore began to hone his skills while messing around his neighbour’s sound system. While at home he would mess around with various DJ and music programs such as Atomix, Virtual DJ, and Acid creating mix cds. At 17 years old Stamma played out at his very first party while at P.C.C. (Portmore Community College) alongside his trustee mic-man Twain and they both managed to rock the party. After the event, Stamma recognized he had the ability to play very well, and the more he played the more his confidence continued to grow. Now while being known as a Disc jockey at P.C.C. Stamma and he his close friends Rico, BG and Twain formed their sound called Oricain ENT where they played several events at school and in Portmore. After Leaving PCC Stamma and Twain left Oricain where they began to do some work on their own until they joined Rockwildaz Sound a year after. While playing for Rockwildaz Sound Stamma’s popularity grew even more as he began playing out at more major events such as C.M.I.’s fresher’s fete, the Pure Plush night club, Club Privilege, Club Famous, Fiction nightclub, Soltisce, Winter Barraage, Chug It, Sweet Escape and J.C. Barbeque just to name a few. While working with Rockwildaz Stamma also became known for his mixtapes such “Stamma Mentality”, “Sumpn ago happen”, “Y Pree”, “Yo”, “3G (Guns, Girls and Ganja)”, “F@#K Dancehall” and “Bandulu”.

In 2013 Stamma left Rockwildaz Sound and is now a solo act. Stamma’s journey has only just begun as he continues to trod to success with his upcoming mixtapes and playouts that will definitely raise the bar and let people know his “Stamma Mentality”. Stamma’s Musical Style is pretty versatile as he listen and plays mainly Dancehall, Reggae, Hip Hop, & E.D.M. (Electronic Dance Music). In terms of style he’s sure to leave patrons in a frenzy with his diverse set and the energy he puts into playing. Stamma’s musical influence is as diverse as is music library ranging from Jamaican DJs such as Dj Kurt Riley, Arif Cooper, Nicco, Inferno, Ice, Coppershot, Renaissance and Tony Matterhorn & Sky Juice to international DJs such as Diplo, Dj Premiere, Just Blaze and Dj A-Trak.
