A friend I knew chose assisted suicide after being diagnosed with terminal cancer (her story was written up in the L.A. Times). Got me thinking of holidays on the calendar (Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the like) and the first time you experience it without someone you love. The time we've been given is indeed brief, and the love we get to experience is precious.

I took that scenario and imagined a love story around it...thus, this song! This song is in the vein of indie pop rock and if that's your thing, I think you'll dig this track. Even when you analyze something to death, sometimes "real magic" is still able to appear.

"My Sweet Mythology" deals with how we sometimes entangle ourselves within our own worldview (religion, politics, socio-economic, etc.) to the point where we become myopic. We are trapped in our own "blind spots" if you will. It is only through critical thinking that we can test our thoughts and truly own our own mind. Oh, and this track totally rocks...juss sayin'.  : )
