I used to relish my time alone
When I could do just what I pleased

These days I hate to see her leave

I used to dream about the highway
I thought that freedom meant to move
A moving target that was my way
Love was just a chain to be removed

Now I crave her company

Finally discovered what freedom truly meant

What a thrill to know that someone cares
