Kogetsu Eguchi (1825-1867) was a Japanese poet active in the late Edo period. Together with Kazan Watanabe, he authored the haiku book Tōke shunchō.

Kaga no Chiyo-jo (1703–1775) was a haiku poet discovered by Kagami Shiko at a very young age. She became a Buddhist nun at 52 and wrote around 1,900 haiku in her lifetime. A highlight of her poetry career was presenting haiku to a Korean delegation in 1763, one of the first cultural exchanges of this kind.

Old Steam Engine

Ambient?   Noise?  Soundscape?   I don't really know any more - categories are no longer fitting what I am hearing and sharing here.   This one spreads across different genres, but still evokes a compelling listening experience.   This one might have to do with the fact that I am just back from Berlin, where, for the first time in decades, I went to bed after the sun came up.

Heavy sent to core

Cured continental crust
Grand core feeds gas for baby atmos trust

Strong crust now ready for meteor a many
We take space punches of water a plenty
Born our seas and carbon cycle
Now light and liquid married seeds for life's title

Magnetosphere
Dimensional tamer of sun
Fierce solar storms won't stop life's run
Filter fire form
Not Venus sphere
Sown Martian cold
Gold spot sewed clear

Tepid planet
So green
So great
So many mutants
Evolved on your plate
Tectonic trained
Innate of know
Some hope we glow
