I started this cover of Aphex Twin's Ziggomatic 17 back in 2015. I was 14 at the time! 6 years later and it's finally released as apart of the 20th anniversary tribute to "Drukqs" I've organized. It's been an honor seeing everyone else's contributions to this compilation, a wonderful diversity of talents in this community.

"Putting 88 tracks through the digital mincer and peppering the results with 773 audio files of spasticated goodness, Zilla (partner to the erstwhile Buddy Peace) has concocted a cochlea rupturing mix that acts as a perfect pre-Christmas treat.
Concentrating on marble-mouthed hip-hop and chrome plated beats, Zilla (who many will have experienced via his collaborative mix with Buddy Peace on the cd accompanying Warp's "warpvision" dvd) makes sure the listener never sinks into an over familiar stupor by dicing vocals and forcing them into unholy unions with everything from IDM and drill&bass through to discordant cartoon-core and broken beat spasms.
With Zilla crediting the mix's gestation on "being stuck travelling when the only magazine you haven't read is The Source or XXL", 'Grinted Teeth & Brawlsville' comes across more like said magazines getting ripped to shreds by a rampaging horde of silicon-fed wolves; as DMX, Busta, Lil Kim, Dead Prez, Beans and Chantelle (to name but very few) are knee-capped by Autechre, Sqaurepusher et al. then reconfigured into a leaner, more menacing beast. If you ever thought Anti-Pop Consortium were a bit soft, then Zilla has injected some rock hard resin into the mashup canon. Gnash!"
