As a reference to the rolling paper brand of the same name, Jake Major uses 'Blazy Suzan' as a metaphor for a person one has a euphoric connection with.
This idea is tied in with altered consciousness and how this can enhance one's connections with others, or possibly diminish them.
'Blazy Suzan' could be a real person one values deeply, or it could be an imagined, ideal character in one's head, who does not exist in the real world, but is still endlessly searched for, despite the futility of the matter, inadvertently plunging them into a lonelier state.
Think of a modernised 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' in terms of the chorus and psychedelic production techniques, plus The Weeknd and Gesaffelstein's collaborative works in terms of overall sound, and you're envisaging 'Blazy Suzan' pretty well. The song has a luscious summer vibe going on, make sure you blast it in the blazing sun!
Jake collaborated with fellow upcoming Newcastle upon Tyne artist Kaycee on this track, incorporating lead vocal verses and backing vocals from him to further the genre-spanning nature of the song. Kaycee's styles range from Afro-soul, to rap, to jazz, so Major was thrilled to have him on board to spice up the tune.

Starting out in a rat-infested London bedsit, a teenage Thomas Dolby stacks boxes by day at the grocery and tinkers with a homemade synthesizer at night while catching the Police at a local dive bar, swinging by the pub to see the unknown Elvis Costello, and starting the weekend with a Clash show at a small nightclub. London on the eve of the 1980s is a hotbed for music and culture, and a new sound is beginning to take shape, merging technology with the musical energy of punk rock. Thomas plays keyboards in other bands' shows and, with a bit of luck, finds his own style, quickly establishing himself on the scene and recording breakout hits that take radio, MTV, and dance clubs by storm. The world is now his oyster, and sold out arenas, world tours, even a friendship with Michael Jackson become the fabric of his life.

But as the record industry flounders and disillusionment sets in, Thomas turns his attention to Hollywood. Scoring films and computer games eventually leads him to Silicon Valley and a software start-up that turns up the volume on the digital music revolution. Jake Major is a young, emerging artist from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He channels 1980s synth influences from Jean-Michel Jarre, Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis, John Foxx and more, into a modern, totally unique blend of a mass of electronic genres and styles, whilst still evoking this unexplainable nostalgic sound that, if you're Jake's age, reminds you of a past you never knew, and then blasts you into the retrospective vision of the future that was so prevalent in pop culture back then. In live situations, Jake's synthesizers, one of those being a keytar, mannerisms, persona, and aesthetic, thoroughly project the 1980s, whilst simultaneously evoking glimpses into the future we all imagined.
