Hed Kandi 15 Years 'Disco Heaven' Mix Glen Horsborough

Anybody who has followed me over these past few years will know that Michael Gray’s original production’s and remixes feature heavily in my sets. Everything he touches turns to gold and I look forward to every one of his releases. I have followed Michael’s career for almost 30 years now and decided it’s definitely time I paid tribute to his masterful work. I wanted to create a compilation combining old with new, mixing some of my favourite tracks from his early days as his aliases Robot man and Full Intention with music partner Jon Pearn such as Ready For This, Tears, So In Love With You, I Love America and Sweetest Day Of May with some of his latest releases like his excellent remixes of Reel People - Can’t Stop, The Sgt. Slick version of the Adeva classic - I Thank You and Donna Allen’s - Serious as well his his latest releases on his own Sultra Record Label like Invincible and the fantastic Promo version of his latest release - Never Let You Down. I wanted this tribute to feature tracks that I haven’t previously used in any of my sets already available on Soundcloud, the few tracks that have already featured, on this one I have played the equally as good Dub versions. The set has 32 amazing tracks, 5 of which are as of yet Unreleased DJ Only remixes. I really hope everyone enjoys listening to this mix as much as I have compiling and recording it. I would also like to say a huge thank you to the main man himself Michael Gray for all of his fantastic hard work over these past decades for giving us all this wonderful music, I Can’t wait to see what you produce in the future !!

Already shaping up with the House heads, As I Am and Jedd Robert’s collaborative new single 'Closer' comes armed with an eclectic remix package offering versions for clubs and festivals alike. 

Premiered by the monstrous UKF, JVST SAY YES’ bold and colourful remix feeds into the hype already surrounding the record made evident by Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s support throughout their recent performances.

House legends Todd Terry and Terrence Parker take their own twists on ‘Closer’ respectively. Todd stays true to his roots creating a bass infused remix whilst Terrence takes inspiration from his signature Detroit sound creating a masterfully melodic remix.

The main idea is that  I sampled the steams we got to make a different harmony and feel of the song. The steams inspired me, so as Hip-Hop and Jazz in generally.

I've recorded live drums, bass, female vocals and talkbox with a little help of my fellow musicians. 

The remix itself has a warm and creamy vybe with a vintage feel to it. We applied a lot of processing and various effects in the mixing stage to accomplish the timbre of the sound we wanted.

Push up the fader , bust the meter , shake the tweeter, bump it - well !

Update: Since you've opened a artwork contest too, we're submiting the one featured on this remix for that competition.
