Read My Love (Extended Mix)

Alright, so this one was a huge work in progress over time. Tonally, this track is inspired by a lot of late 2000s, early 2010s progressive house, most notably, Deadmau5's "Faxing Berlin" and Kaskade's "Move for Me," with the latter being responsible for me falling in love with house music back in HS. I don't normally work with audio files and tend to favor a MIDI workflow, but I have dialed it in over time.

This track began as a late-night piano sketch and wound up evolving into a full-blown synthwave track. This includes a 90 BPM groove, layered analog pads, gated drums, and a melodic topline. The name “Between Phases” is a reference to the song “phases” by Majid Jordan, and more specifically, their album “The Space Between,” one of my top 5 favorite records.

This track is very much inspired by the Deep House movement that ruled the Chicago scene back in the 80s and 90s. It builds over a MIDI saxophone loop. This song was written under my previous alias, "scenic scribe," which has since been switched over to Static Vale.

Windy City

Here is a straight-up Moombahton/Dirty-Dutch Electro house track I created using a combination of Serum 2 and Astra. This is likely my most aggressive non-hard dance style track as of yet. 

Scorching Hot

Attached is a variation of one of my oldest tracks, "Vocoder Dreams." I slightly sped the pace up from 90 bpm to 93 bpm and changed the instrumentation a little bit + added some synths from Serum 2. I call this one the "cyberpunk edition" due to it's melancholic and somewhat dystopian, tense tone. This track is flat out Daft Punk inspired, hence the use of the talk boxes.
