Brilliant electronic rock - super well produced as usual

I like the dark nature of this, and the vocals create a haunting atmosphere. Great backstory... luckily you weren't bucked off.

Wonderful galloping action. Dark stuff. … I grew up with horses. I was a good rider. Once when I was around 8 years old, I got the chance to ride a Quarter Horse racer. The owner told me not to lean forward in the saddle because the horse was trained to bolt from the starting gate at a lean. I was just adjusting my stirrup and inadvertently leaned forward !!! and the next thing I knew I was on the rump of the horse hanging on to the rear of the saddle as the horse took off at a dead run. Somehow I stayed on and drug myself back up into the saddle and with the one rein I still had a hold of I pulled the horse's head around to the left to get him to stop just before the pasture fence became something he'd either jump if he could or run into if he couldn't.

Darkly beautiful with real menace and tension at the core...dig it.

"Making music with Rodolfo is always exciting and often a challenge, although I know we both find it stimulating, as we always aim to reach high and this post is no exception. This new song, started its gestation almost a year ago, instantly showed a lot of promise and since has been through many stages of exploration and rounds of problem-solving. The painfully blunt lyrics were initially inspired by a friend's brutal relationship break-up, but the final result is much heavier. I hope you find it moving rather than disturbing, I was trying to match the mood of Rod's deeply dramatic music."

"I think it's a fantastic song and you've done an amazing job on both the story and the vocals, especially those tough lines. When I was writing it, I just felt like a modern blues with a techno vibe was taking shape. The final sound was defined by the story and those really dramatic, emotional lyrics. You might want to make it clear that it's a fictional story to avoid giving our friends heart attacks."

I once went horse riding not far from the Canadian border in Washington State. Cowboy hat, chaps, the lot. The guy in front yanked his horse's reins when it started to eat grass, causing it to kick backwards hitting my horse... which set off at a gallop. Yee ha! Unfortunately, the expedition leader was cross, accusing me of showing off! Nevertheless, it was exhilarating.

I've been on Soundcloud for six years now and it's been great exploring the work of other artists.  There is so much generosity of spirit on this platform, it's just what you need when most of your music is made solo. 

I started out playing classical and Spanish guitar, then took up flamenco to ease myself away from the confines of musical notation. As a result, Latin rhythms often creep into my music. 

A friend introduced me to steel string and electric guitars just a few years ago and I still find the scope they bring dizzying... but what fun!
