Inspired by "Momenticon", Brian Caldecott's mind-blowing book. 
In a post-apocalyptic world, two giant corporate entities vie for digital power -  with bizarre consequences.
I don't normally advocate this but, this seems to work best LOUD....

Inspired, not so much by Pieter Bruegel's wonderful painting, as by the idea of living within it. Andrew Caldecott's strange book, Momenticom, is brimming with such ideas...
When Breugel painted this, Europe was in the grip of a mini-ice age and times were very hard. One art historian (I forget who) suggests that the hunters and their dogs were returning from the hunt unsuccessful and disconsolate. Despite the challenges, other locals take the opportunity to skate on the ice.

This track represents the feeling of someone who knows that his time on earth is done.

Andrew Caldecott knows how to write evil characters. Cosmo Vane (from Momenticon) is a great example: sociopathic ambition fused with a dangerously sadistic instability...

Black Moth

Morag is a character in Momenticon by Andrew Caldecott. I've been meaning to compose more tracks for this project for some time. 
I quite liked the idea of her being steam punk. Whatever, her character is full if vim, hence the 145 bpm.

I always like to try and support local talent from my home town whenever I can, so I would like to introduce Sam Lee. Sam has fantastic vocal tone and pitch and puts great emotion into her performances.
 There are quite a few versions and remixes of this song by the original and other artists  here on soundcloud but as far as i know not an orchestrated version (I may be wrong)..... Thanks for all your patience with this release and thank you again for your continued support ...Love and peace to all <3 <3

I've been on Soundcloud for several years now and it's been great exploring the work of other artists.  There is so much generosity of spirit on this platform, it's just what you need when most of your music is made solo. 

I started out playing classical and Spanish guitar, then took up flamenco to ease myself away from the confines of musical notation. As a result, Latin rhythms often creep into my music. 

A friend introduced me to steel string and electric guitars just a few years ago and I still find the scope they bring dizzying... but what fun!
