This was another beautiful project in which producer Morten Jeamland sent me the music and I sang the vocals. 

We share the love for nature and feel that it is a vital part of wellbeing. People can be very disconnected from nature these days, which is a worrying development. It is good to go back to the roots.  And protection of nature and all the living species should be at the forefront of any decision making in the world.

On completion of his track he shared some of the stems so I could create this.

"A Sinister Assassin" was published recently. It provides translations of Antonin Artaud's last writings (September 1947 - March 1948) from which these lyrics are taken.

The Machine Stops was probably the first science fiction story I ever read. I must have been 10 or 11 and I was sat in an aunt’s front room, rather bored. I picked up a Reader’s Digest compilation and this was the first story. I didn’t move for couple of hours. The story was written by E. M. Forster; it was first published back in 1909 when airships, telegraphy and telephony were state of the art (i.e. before mass radio broadcasting and television).
He described a world where people live a sedentary and solitary life, communicating with others almost entirely through The Machine; which also caters for their needs: food, water and energy is delivered to them. People don’t need to leave their homes, so they rarely do. They live to share ideas and opinions, which are usually rather shallow because they are not rooted in real experiences or deep learning. Does this sound familiar? Anyway, I think you can tell from the title that this comfortable state of affairs does not last…

Two Raven

I've been on Soundcloud for six years now and it's been great exploring the work of other artists.  There is so much generosity of spirit on this platform, it's just what you need when most of your music is made solo. 

I started out playing classical and Spanish guitar, then took up flamenco to ease myself away from the confines of musical notation. As a result, Latin rhythms often creep into my music. 

A friend introduced me to steel string and electric guitars just a few years ago and I still find the scope they bring dizzying... but what fun!
