Having hooked up with Trinidadian songstress ‘’NIKISHA’’ based in the UK…,she mentioned an interest in doing Soca Music, and Mirikle had the connection to a good producer on the scene in St Lucia, who was willing to supply the music. &#13;

What do you get when you take a group of guys from different backgrounds, with a passion to excel and always do it better than the last time, and yet do it different from anyone else, even when the odds seems to be against them? The word ‘Geek’ not to be confused with ‘nerd’ is mostly defined as an expert or enthusiast or a person obsessed with a hobby or intellectual pursuit. In this case, that hobby or intellectual pursuit is sound & music.

With a diverse pool of knowledge in sound & music, from production in studio to live sound mixing and as deejays. Deck Geeks are have not only pulled their resources together to have that extra niche on the industry but also further enable themselves to pursue greater aspirations.

Whether it is behind the boards as music producers, behind the mixers as sound engineers, or behind the decks as deejays, Deck Geeks are forever in pursuit of something better than before, something different from the standard, whilst retaining their own individuality to the table.

S. Deniro is an up and coming artist from the Bronx. Growing up in the 90’s, S. Deniro has looked up to some well-known heavy hitters in the music industry, like The Lox, Fabolous and Jay Z. As a young boy growing up in the Bronx, he always knew he served a purpose in music but also had a love for basketball. Watching his favorite basketball player, Allen Iverson, was a big influence on him during his years in high school. There, he tried to pursue a career in basketball following in his favorite player’s footsteps, but still felt that something was missing. Basketball just wasn’t his passion the way music was. By the time he was 17, his love for Hip Hop was undeniable and S. Deniro then continued to follow his dream in making music. At the age of 18 he developed his craft, writing about the street life, his struggles coming up, and hard times he faced growing up on the streets of the Bronx. Eager to show and prove that he has what it takes to be a great artist, he made his way to Wise Guy studios in 2009. There, he recorded his first three mix tapes: No Beat is safe[20010], No Beat is safe vol.2[2011] and No Beat is safe vol.3.[2013] During the process of creating his first three projects, he met with a beat producer, who actually produced one song off of both Vol. 2 and 3, then went on to collaborate with and create S. Deniro’s first EP, “Talk of NY” The Prequel[2016]. S. Deniro took to stages and underground stations to push the project but a split with the producer forced S. Deniro to move on completely to create the foundation of his career and whats known now today as MFI Music & Entertainment Group, S. Deniro’s solely owned record label.

 

         Along the way, S. Deniro met with a producer who is also a “Boogie Down” Bronx native, known as Vinny Idol. They then began recording his next EP “Pots N Bands”[2018] which is available on all platforms. The project has different producers on it but mostly produced by Vinny Idol. Immediately after S. Deniro and Vinny Idol began recording again and somehow landed his first major feature with well known rapper Styles P of “The Lox”. This single, “Straight Like That” [2020] is also available on all platforms. Due to the time of releasing during the corona virus, the track was sort of swept under the rug. S. Deniro linked again with an old friend and well known producer from the Bronx who goes by the name of Hassan Shareef, who can actually be seen in producer credits in projects from S. Deniro dated back to 2012. In the midst of the two collaborating their own track “More Than Rap” [2021] they also put some more foot work behind the “Straight Like That” single which is currently the main single for S. Deniro today. Both tracks are now currently the most viewed and streamed from S. Deniro.

 

             S. Deniro is a consistent artist that doesn’t waste anytime going to the studio to lay down some tracks. His love for Hip Hop is what motivates him to be creative with his lyrics as for catchy hooks and strong punch lines. S. Deniro is an artist that puts his all in his music for the people. His skills and life experience tells a story within his music that has moved crowds at his performances. S. Deniro is an artist that cannot be compared or confused with any other artist for his style is different and unique. This Bronx native, is an artist that insist to be the best in what he does when it comes to Hip Hop. His love for Hip Hop will only make him break the barriers to become not only a great artist but a product of the hip hop nation.

Metal-core? Punk? Hardcore? Who knows and who cares? Never More than Less is loud, yes, but has the industry experts confused. Signs of this debate, Relentless, their second album, was awarded best punk hardcore album at Quebec's GALA DE LA MUSIQUE 2009, and was also nominated for best metal-hardcore album at GAMIQ 2009. Go figure.

Determined to massively promote their music everywhere, Never More than Less has just released their third full-length album, simply titled The Album. Faster, hookier, with more depth and more intensity than ever before, The Album is by far the best collection of songs the band has offered to date.

Introspective, critical, amusing, William Blaxland has intensity, an undeniable dynamic. An exploration of the high highs and the low lows. Their first E.P, Art is Forgetting Style, is the observations of a band, first and foremost. 

The Pixies, Jeff Buckley, the attitude of the Sex Pistols, this might go some way to describing the sound of this Melbourne based quartet, although they confess influences both broad and varied. Energetic, confused, frustrated, this self-produced recording speaks irreverence and questions the authenticity and originality of the industry that William Blaxland love. This paradox creates a tension in their music that will have you analysing every lyric for a new interpretation of each and every song.

Kid Fury (born Franklin Noel Humphrey) is an MC and DJ hailing from Oxford, UK (not to be confused with the US blogger of the same name)

Kid Fury likens himself to a boxing journeyman in being someone that has for close to two decades exhibited all the right components to be one of the best at his chosen craft, but due to the rigors and joys of real life has rarely been afforded the time to focus completely on his dream.

Unafraid of being pigeon-holed as “old school” for wanting to adhere to the culture and values that originally made hip hop great, his musical tastes are spread far and wide but it is the feeling of having to mix, cut, scratch or juggle something in a particular way for it to be hip hop or when rapping knowing where the line in the sand is between hip hop and pop is that separate him from so many involved in the business of hip hop these days.

It would seem that Kid Fury has become a sort of “jack of all trades” type character known for being a rapper, DJ, radio personality, lover, father, promoter and music industry desk jockey and pen pusher, but would dispute and do what it takes to dispute the premise that he is yet to master any of the above.

Equally as adept on the mic as on the turntables he started building a rep for himself on 'Da Boom Box' radio show which was recognised as one of the country’s top shows in Hip Hop Connection in 2000 before going on to feature on DJ Harry Love’s first single ‘Ill Lyrical Behaviour’ before going through a period in life he only eludes to by saying “I should make more of a point of goin’ on about being one of those dudes that hip hop saved”

Finally back in the lab with an amazing group of beat makers and artists working on what would be a first solo release since appearing on ‘Ill Lyrical Behaviour’ after years of only flirting with the idea of making something to give back for “the free pass” his early achievements have given him.

Having opened live shows on the turntables and as a host for long time co-conspirator Chima Anya, Grandmaster Flash, Pharoahe Monch, Jean Grae, Jay Electronica, GZA, DOOM, Slum Village, Homeboy Sandman, Stalley, Wale, Speech Debelle, Rodney P and can add many more names to this list when we look at who he has conversed with in radio interviews who he has worked with in his various PR roles.

An artist who revels in the idea that his journey thus far has been less about the fame and fortune and more an elevation towards the legacy he'd like to leave behind. Having dipped in and out of the public eye sporadically Kid Fury has around 20 of personal achievements of which he admits to being either very proud of or humbled by... with all that said he really is only just getting started.
