Super stoked to share this with you all! I toured with Gramatik back in February on his Epigram tour. Afterwards, I was grateful to have had him reach out to me with the opportunity to remix any record on his Epigram album, well I chose this bad boy because that soulful Leo Napier vocal just spoke to me. Melodically and lyrically it's unbelievable, and I was able to give it that funky breakbeaty Jenaux sound.

Not since Quincy Jones' Back on the Block have we seen such a line up of soul and jazz all stars - every song a musical event. The first single Speak Love boasts R&B veterans Glenn Jones, Tony Terry & Tim Owens with jazz chart toppers U-Nam & Lin Rountree. Love is my Bible unites 3 of Chaka Khan's most beloved background singers, Sandra St Victor, Audrey Wheeler-Downing & Karen Bernod, on a Motown-influenced hit featuring smooth jazz favorites, Groove LTD.

Like Jones, Day reaches beyond the scope of R&B in his writing, producing, and selection of performers. Titled SONG, SOUL & SPIRIT, the album opens with Battlegrounds, a social anthem that has already had an impact at radio with it's gospel choir finale, and a rare guest appearance by film & music star Cheryl Pepsii Riley. Another highlight is the pairing of Tony-nominated Elisabeth Withers (Suge Avery from the musical Color Purple) w/ seasoned jazz saxophonist Walter Beasley. Day places them on the inspirational ballad, Stand on my Shoulders, which he wrote with Grammy-winning songwriter/producer Preston Glass.

Day had the opportunity to write with another of his Grammy-winning songwriting heros, Gordon Chambers, on the motivational ballad Forgiveness, pairing Chambers with another unexpected choice, Grammy-winning Paula Cole, best known for her #1 hit and Dawson's Creek anthem, I Don't Want to Wait, as well as her jazz duets album with Chris Botti.

Throughout the album, Day surrounds his esteemed leading artists with a cast of musicians who have backed musical legends & game changers like Barbara Streisand, Barry Manilow, Erica Badu and Kindred & the Family Soul.

To close this monumental feat, Day returns to two of his favorite collaborations of all time, a remix of his smash We Dance featuring SoulTrain Award winner Maysa, and Dreamland, a lullaby with 5X consecutive Grammy-winner Lalah Hathaway.
Of Day's writing, Hathaway says: "James is one of the most beautiful, visual songwriters I know, his lyrics fit me like a glove."

Frank McComb is a divine soul man who speaks with the native tongue of soul, jazz, blues and pop. His virtuoso vocal and piano work has made him not only an indispensable and highly sought after session musician, but a favorite on the soul, jazz and R&B scenes. 

Frank has worked with many of the entertainment industry%u2019s giants including but not limited to: Prince, Branford Marsalis, George Duke, Patrice Rushen, Gerald Levert, The Rude Boys, Phil Perry, Tommy Davidson, Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Chaka Khan, Songwriting duo Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (Will Smith), Frankie Beverly and Maze, Teena Marie, Lalah Hathaway, Terri Lynn Carrington, Phyllis Hyman, Valerie Simpson, American Idol's Rickey Minor, Philip Bailey, Teddy Pendergrass and so many more. 

'Listen To Your Heart' came out in 2000 on an album called Love Stories. New Jersey house producers Adam Rios and Mark Lewis aka AMFlow loved the original song and felt the hook would work nicely with a house music beat and made a special mix for themselves that they would play out in dj sets. 

We heard the new mix and sent it to Frank asking if we could release it and he loved it so much he re-sung the vocals and the rest they say is history! 

AMFlow are Adam Rios and Mark Lewis hailing from New Jersey, USA. Adam has been in the industry for many years mostly producing house music with legend Timmy Regisford and the Shelter crew for many years and has recently stepped up his solo projects with Vega Records. Mark Lewis is a force to be reckoned with, his style of production and remixes which has caught the ear of the aforementioned 'Timmy Regisford' and also have had the dance floors in a frenzy over the last few years. Successful projects for various labels including Tony Records. This duo combination are the force behind AMFlow. Expect to hear a lot more from these guys throughout the year!

Tom’s ‘Original Mix’, plus his beautifully mellow ‘Summer of ’17’ mix & DJ friendly ‘No Drums’ treatment.  There are two ‘North Street’ remixes from the don, Ashley Beedle that offer a full on vocal plus a stripped back mix that allows Chidi’s voice to ride the rhythm.

Chidi’s musical journey began when, as part of a national Gospel choir, she supported major artists such as Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Mary Mary. She has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder and Pixie Lott to name but a few and was also backing singer for Gloria Gaynor. She emerged on the UK Soul scene in 2009 with the underground soul hit ‘Wrong Again’ from her debut album 'Unrehearsed' followed by a highly successful recording career. Now Chidi’s teamed up with the internationally acclaimed producer/composer/arranger Tom Glide on the ‘Divas Got Soul’ LP. 

The result of Chidi’s collaboration with Tom is the beautifully evocative ‘Old Skool Dayz’. Borrowing from the rich traditions of classic Soul music, Chidi delivers the carefully observed sights, sounds and emotions from her childhood days which she lovingly compresses into a distillation of that long hot summer which eternally lingers at the back of our minds.
