The song is written from the perspective of someone who wants to fix a relationship that has already ended. Realizing it's something that she really wants, or thinks she wants, she fantasizes about a reset. The lyrics are dreamlike, delusional, innocent, an invocation, an enchantment. She imagines a situation where they meet again by chance and decide to start over 💚

Water

Perfect Body formed in Cardiff, early 2017, inspired by the sonic experimentation of bands like My Bloody Valentine, Stereolab, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Their earliest performances took place in Cardiff’s underground, often in practice spaces and house parties: So, by the time Perfect Body emerged on the music scene, they had already sculpted a distinctive sonic identity. The attention gained from their first single, ‘Getting Cold’, saw them supporting the likes of Jen Cloher, Slowcoaches, and The Wytches.

Perfect Body’s sound is characterized by it’s noisy, psychedelic guitar playing; icy, ethereal synthesizers; and a muscular, yet dynamic rhythm section. Their three vocalists, each with their own style and identities, ensure that Perfect Body’s performances are varied and engaging. Perfect Body is a wall of noise, hazing over and obscuring what is, at it’s core, pop-oriented songwriting.

This is a live take Rita ( Doherty ) and I quickly laid down together on her first night home for Christmas. We then put her backing vocals down and I put some sax and bass on it

HMS Morris - Partypooper

Jeykll & Jeykll (Irish songwriters/musicians Meg Cronin and Cathal Nally) released their debut EP "Don't Forget to Daydream" in 2019. The First single "Endless Aimless Collisions" was released in June 2019 followed by "The Sum of All Tears". J&J's first video (EAC) followed (animated/illustrated by the outstanding Tia Friedel) as well as a feature video for The Sum of All Tears. Releases followed with The title track, an instrumental epic in three movements as well the angular/introspective "Late Night Arrival". In November 2021 J&J released a cover of Radiohead's Weird Fishes followed by single releases "Fix This" on Friday May 6th 2022 and Hooked on a Lie 10 May 2024.

Jeykll and Jeykll formed in 2018, performing multiple gigs as a duo around Cork City (also performing together in MB, MRC and as Jazz duo) most notably at the Kino during the Cork Jazz Festival 2018; thereafter festival regulars. They launched Don't Forget To Daydream at Crane Lane Theatre in October 2019. 

The duo draw on multiple genres. Influences include Radiohead; Stan Getz; Manics; The Smiths; Unknown Mortal Orchestra; Charlie Parker; Lee Morgan; Billy Holiday; Esperanza Spalding; Son House; Rory Gallagher; Chic; Heatwave; The Metres; Vulfpeck.

On DFTD, J&J were graced by the outstanding work of Christian Best (Engineering/Mixing/Percussion), Ruairi O'Flaherty (Mastering), Jake Walsh (Bass) and Cian O'Sullivan on Drums; they were also very lucky to have the wonderful artwork of Jen Horgan.
