My memories of Cardiff Evolution - Room 1 

I Loved that feeling of coming through the doors at the top of the stairs knowing I’m  going to bump into some of my regular weekend Evo friends .

My personal favourite place to dance was always front left by the steps or left of DJ box . I’d have a fag in one hand , glow stick in the other and dance all night long through to the early hours 😂 

We all have fun / cringe memories to look back on of the classic Evo photos from the Room 1 Photographer - the distinctive animal print background , everyone looking a little bit worse for wear 😳😵‍💫🥴 .. I used to dread them being posted and my mother seeing them before I got chance to vet if they were safe for viewing 🫣😅😆

#3 Evolution Cardiff - Room 1

Hi guys,

Finally got round to recording Pt 1 of 2 of the final parts of the Evolution Cardiff Series - The Afters.

I’m still new and learning to mix, but I don’t tend to mix in key and often choose to place tracks outside of their BPM bracket.

I’ve really mixed this one up to try to disrupt that typical ‘flow’ of a mix .. 

Although my preference for a good mix is usually a journey from slow , gradual build to a harder / faster pace ; these two mixes are a mish mash of tracks that I couldn’t find a place for in the other mixes with a few cheesy fun tracks thrown in that remind me of the crazy after parties we used to end up in after a wild night in Evolution…so I guess the flow would match the mood of an afters too 🤪 unhinged 😆

Anyway .. hope you enjoy .. these two are certainly NOT for the trance snobs of the community 😉 but for the fun element..fill yer boots 🎶 💃🏾

Thank you Coloursfest, in all my time playing this festival, I would say that was the best one yet. The GBX Anthems Events outdoor arena was a pleasure to play and it was great to see so many old and new faces enjoying the music. The last 20 minutes were absolutely wild with the entrance to the arena being closed off. 

A little bag of big tunes done the damage. Thanks to the Colours team and Ellene Bowie for looking after me so well.
