Bio:   
24Thirdy is an unsigned hip hop/rock/ pop musical group from a small town in Mpumalanga called Standerton,comprising of three artists with different styles of rapping, making music that fuses South African hip hop with the rock/ pop genre. 24Thirdy was formed by Sbusiso Mkhonza, known as Counter in the early months of 2010, with two other very talented local artists. We all wanted to try something new, which does not cater for a specific gender, race or age. It is evident that we make more than just music. There is a deeper meaning to the type of music we create -we are project 24Thirdy- , by fusing the different types of genres, we hope to unite our nation that is still held back by various barriers, a music scene where everyone can dance and relate under one roof. We are young, funky and vibrant. We offer music on a never heard before level, with lyrics and choruses on point, and performances that take any audience on a mind blowing journey, you will have to hear and see it yourself to feel the experience. The name 24Thirdy comes from 2430, Standerton's area code. Production and recording of tracks is done by the group itself. As mentioned before, the group was recently formed but has been on 94.7 Highveld stereo and has air play on MpowerFM, the group made its big debut on the 23rd of October 2010, at the Rude Tattooed, musically Intuned Rock festival. Performing alongside the best local bands and big names in the industry, such as Aking, Fokofpolisiekar and many more, we also have been performing in Pretoria, Edanvale, Midrand and Boksburg. We also have been requested to perform in Cape Town but due to lack of finance we could not make it. On the 16th of July 2011, 24Thirdy hosted an event ,Gift for Mandela Day in Standerton to fundraise money for the home of the less fortunate in Standerton. 24Thirdy is not like any other band, we know and believe in what we are doing. We are a band that everyone would want to hear.
