A life long lover of nature and constantly intrigued by the natural world and the invisible world of sounds that surround us. This has taken me on a journey of trying to combine my love of exploring and documenting nature with my passion for recording and understanding sound. The idea has since manifested into a number of interesting projects and is in a constant state of evolution. I like the idea of using art as a way to understand the world of science, using imagination to explore scientific ideas beyond the limits of traditional scientific methodology.

I have built up the gear to record and capture sounds for use in films, interviews and music projects or you can check out the library of sounds. I have worked on a number of film projects in a number of different roles and enjoy working behind the camera, which has helped how I work with sound. I like being able to provide a different point of view and unique service for people who like the idea of thinking outside the box, because I live outside the box.

Tribal Flora is music that transcends space and time. We started out as a group of friends casually meeting up and jamming out the sunsets by the seaside. We would mostly play tribal rhythms with earthy instruments at that time, using djembes, didgeridoos and morchang (Jew’s harp) and various indigenous drums. The sound gradually crystallized into a form which was earthy and primal.
More recently, we've built upon the solid foundation of tribal rhythm and added a variety of flavor to our music to create a unique sound. We include elements from Indian classical, tribal/folk, western (classical, jazz, blues, reggae, and rock), electronica, DnB and psychedelic music. Our sonic arsenal comprises of various indigenous as well as mainstream instruments: We got tablas, djembes, a drum kit, didgeridoos, kalimba, guitars, morchangs or mouth harps, flute and digital sound synthesis elements (MIDI/sequencer).
A lot of the inspiration is drawn from nature. We've spent a lot of time outdoors together, often jamming with the insects, birds, rivers, wind and fire. Most of our music is spontaneously improvised.
All of us in the band are different people, coming from different backgrounds, musical influences and training. The common ground beneath our feet is the love for music, higher living, freedom and basically having a truly great time. Music is an excellent medium to cultivate, communicate and set aside boundaries.
