A Song I Never Finished When Doctors Found A Tumor In My Little Brother

Monday, 25th June, 2012. 

A thunder storm was predicted, so I set up my Telinga SSM and Olympus LS-100 recorder just inside a screened door. I set the recording level low, but even so the nearest lightning strikes (about 100 feet away) completely overwhelmed the system.

The recording begins while the storm is still about ten minutes away....

There are several phases - first, there is distant thunder as the wind begins to strengthen. Then the thunder gets nearer and the rain begins. Next, the storm literally moves overhead, with several strikes within a few hundred feet of the house.

This is followed by hail, and then more wind and rain, as the storm slowly recedes to the east.
