Dyligence is a Boston-based producer/DJ, who’s unclassifiable sound is born out of a life-long consumption and appreciation of a wide scope of musical styles. Spicing the pot with multiple genres, both electronic and organic, he’s always stewing something uniquely fierce.

His hands-on exploration of electronic music began in 2004, with the purchase of an mpc2000 and a digital multi-track recorder. Since then there has been a seemingly constant influx of pads, knobs, faders, and DAWs keeping him busy learning and producing.

Jump to today, dyligence is steadily growing a following on the interwebs as well as the dance floor dropping a mix of deep scoured fire, his original productions, and zany bass driven remixes. Charged by a desire to experiment and collaborate, he’s in constant pursuit of creating an immersive sense-stimulating phastasmagoria.

The southern roots and homegrown musical abilities are the main ingredients that shaped DJ Hush into the mastermind of the turntables & MPC. Influenced by the greats in Hip-Hop, DJ Premier, DJ Babu, DJ Qbert, Jay Dilla, Pete Rock, Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys, to say the least, the Mississippi native was first introduced into Hip-Hop in 1998 in his freshman year in college.  Born Kevin Smith, DJ Hush was surrounded by music as a young kid. “My father was a classical musician and singer who surrounded me with music before I could even talk.” It’s rare to know your dream as a child, nothing stood in DJ Hush’s way. The laid back persona of DJ Hush is only a mask of what he can really do on stage. “I'm a quiet and laid back dude off stage but when I get in front of turntables and onstage, I talk with my hands,” confesses the DJ. Living 10 minutes away from the soulfulness of Memphis, TN, DJ Hush is overwhelmed with different sounds and the opportunity to still purchase vinyl in record stores. Being able to hear something on the radio or flip through vinyl, or just digging and finding a song helps DJ Hush find his next hit. The crunchy, original, soulful sounds of DJ Hush has reached Hip-Hop royalty from KRS-ONE, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck and Masta Killah of Wu- Tang, El Da Sensei of Artifacts, O.C. of D.I.T.C. Sadat X of Brand Nubian among others. DJ Hush spins throughout Memphis, TN and surrounding cities. Recently affiliated with Jersey Sound Lab Recordings in Newark, NJ,
