Some might think that a big city is the only source of cultural trends. But listening to the sound of a metropolis, it sometimes seems to be kind of incestuous in terms of innovation and independency. In contrast, truly groundbreaking ideas often come from remote places. Meet Mitchell Storey: Based in the picturesque hinterland of New South Wales he develops his very own approach towards modern Psytrance, an approach that literally makes him the voice of a new generation of producers.
	
It is 2007 when the young Australian starts up the project Creten. First productions spontaneously draw attention because of their unusual usage of vocals: By rhythmically merging human voices into strong, rolling Psytrance grooves like instruments rather than classical singing, he creates an irresistible catchiness. Always quirky, kind of cartoon-like synth leads are another important trademark of him, clearly showing a healthy sense of humour.

Within no time his talent is discovered by the local scene, resulting in invitations to Exodus Festival, the Nimbin Mardi-Grass, Collaborations Festival or Lost the Plot Festival. His music is signed on labels such as Airglow Records & Twisted Lotus Records.  When Creten presents his debut album “Dynomanic” in 2011, his career brakes through to the international scene, gigs in Switzerland mark the beginning of overseas bookings.And then playing at Earth Dance New Caledonia. Being asked to play at the international Eclipse Festival 2012 in Cairns represents another important milestone.

Whenever the quirky, vocal-infused grooves of Creten boost from a sound system, his fun-loving attitude rubs off on the audience - a feature that clearly makes him one of the most up-and-coming talents of the international Psytrance scene!

Whilst Morsel's earliest musical endeavours were nurtured gigging in bands, the discovery of a newly evolving underground music scene in the Australian outdoors instigated an interest in music production and spawned a passion for continual creative pursuits in the aural realm.

Since the debut release of "Illogitechnicality" in 2008, the project has continued to evolve. 
Remaining distinctly unique while blending an eclectic mix of minimal progressive genres of techno and electronica.

Captain Hook is one of the top DJs, musicians and producers on the Psychedelic Trance (Psytrance) & Progressive Trance scene. Traveling a diverse musical path, Reshef Harari always achieved success guided by the frequencies. From the early days of DJing with vinyls, through the successful collaborative project Quantize, the visit to Techno-land as Sheff with releases at top labels, and finally as Captain Hook, with which he took over the world by storm. Following his heart and sonic manipulations he keeps innovating and never stagnating. With two top selling albums at Iboga Records, countless single and compilation releases and collaborating with the best electronic music producers, Captain Hook has been playing in every conceivable festival, party and venue all around the globe.

Pete Blay is the creative force responsible for the sonic meanderings of Bent Intent - hailing from the Walsh River, Australia.

For over 25 years Pete has been performing & promoting events Australia wide - notably working with the Freeform Collective to create the infamous Winter Solstice Festivals in Far North Queensland. As propagator of Irukandji Collective, he is currently working on bringing Homebass events to North QLD in a collaboration with Whomp Music.

Pete's live project - 'Bent Intent' - combines open soundscapes, sneaky rhythms, acoustic elements & evolving synthesis. Bent Intent follows the 'less is more approach', revelling in the spaces in between - to create an original and distinct fusion of chilled and world beats, with smatterings of dub, downbeat & triphop. 

Bent Intent DJ sets drop into the next gear - expect slabs of midtempo bass, halftime, dub & wobble tailored for the dancefloor - and his side project 'Quinkan' is quickly gaining a reputation for straight up, elongated, no frills bush techno. A turntablist from day one, his performances fuse analog with digital, utilising a Phase & Serato setup alongside vinyl. 

Pete has performed at many major festivals including Rainbow Serpent, Earth Frequency, Cairns Eclipse 2012, Dragon Dreaming, Maitreya, Freakreation, Cairns Winter Solstice, Orin Aya, NYX, Rootbound, Kuranda Roots, Bushweek, Zero DB, Collaborations & Coalescence.

ILLUME is the Progressive Trance project by Lucy Janssen from Melbourne, Australia.
Lucy has been producing since the age of 17 and sharing her music to dance floors since the age of 19. 
Over the years she has gathered an immense amount of inspiration from many talented producers, friends and family. Music has always been her escape, being a metal head as a teenager she slowly discovered the beauty of Electronic music. 
Lucys sound has gone through many developmental changes resulting in a strong point of melody, deep driving baselines, hypnotic repetitions  and Tek inspired percussion. 
As the years go on and her musical evolution comes into play, there is a darker element revealing itself. 
Lucy is at the stage now where she is being given the opportunity to share her music often in Australia and internationally at both small gatherings and well known festivals. 
Illume Is currently signed with No Qualms Records.
EVOKA is the estranged baby sister of “Illume”. Throughout the 10 years of devoted production, her music has gone from faster paced emotive/ dark yet uplifting progressive trance to something a little slower and a little darker. She has taken everything she likes about electronic music, namely the deeper, simplified aspects and transformed it into her own little unique concept of sound. “Evoka” Thrives on sub heavy basslines, dark atmospheres, unsubtle twisted percussion and of course, melody.
While her inspiration has stemmed from static, dark, hypnotic, industrial techno, Evoka's sound is most definitely her own.

Burnt receptors is the project of the Ginger beard man hailing from Brisbane Australia. Inbetween attempting to locate the particle Higgs-boson particle which he believes lurks somewhere underneath the mass of discarded mi-goreng packets in his backyard, and collecting red beard hairs to stuff cushions, he creates his own personal blend of melodic psy and progressive psy, that has been moving and swaying dancefloors across se qld for some time now.
Ever evolving ever progressing music is the core behind Burnt Receptors tunes.. having supported many nationals and internationals and a few drunken bums in need of a feed have shaped his sets to always deliver an experience for dancers and chin strokers alike.
