Well, if youre Steve Aoki you re-enact a scene from Titanic, if youre David Guetta you play your cover of a well-known nursery rhyme, and if youre James Marvel and D&B Award nominee for Best MC, MC Mota you debut your brand new single live on stage.One of the D&B scenes most respected record labels and a firm Zane Lowe favourite, AudioPorn, snapped up James Marvel in 2013, thanks to his fresh take on the genre. 

Having remixed both Dub FX and Xilent to huge effect recently, causing riots on 170+ bpm dancefloors across the globe, now its James Marvels opportunity to destroy dancefloors with his own original music.And so the story of two artists going to war with emotionally bland music begins. Way Of The Warrior is not only D&B at its finest and most energetic, its also drum & bass at its most experimental. After last years huge succes with their n°1 hit Way Of The Warrior, James Marvel & MC Mota are set to confirm their place in the upper echelons of the scene with Trump. A sonically menacing and hard hitting banger bearing a strong message, heavy lyrical flow and a lead melody thatll haunt your dreams till kingdom come. The track kicks off with an old skool rave-feeling intro. Spoken samples drifting over the top paint a picture of what this track is about while setting the stage for the lyrical rampage thats about to occur.

When the breakdown hits, MC Motas bazooka-flow reigns down like a firestorm over Middle-Earth. As the samples in the intro state Denouncing Western greed and hypocrisy, the lyrics are fast paced and build up momentum to the drop where -as if by sleight of hand- a soaring lead melody takes over in the perfect way to make entire crowds jump up and chant. 

Trump is one hell of a big tune! Refreshing with some classic Audioporn vibes. Like a certain somebody, this one is big, brash and in your face. Combine beats and bars, James Marvel and Mota manage to convey all their rage in a collaboration which is going to smash everywhere its played.

Metrik’s highly anticipated second album ‘LIFE/THRILLS’ released on Hospital Records is an exhilarating and flawlessly executed evolution of his signature sound.
