The band Some Kinda Love started out in 2014 with its two members: Rachel Desbois (vocals) and Christophe Biffe (composer). 

The First album

After writing music for movie soundtracks, Christophe wanted to do something a bit more personal, to tell his own story, both in English and in French. He thus thought of writing "La nuit américaine". He started looking for a british or american singer and listened to about a hundred voices on the internet. He fell in love with Rachel's voice, whom he found on Soundcloud and realizes that she is actually french. Since she was living in Paris, they were able to meet quickly and started working on "La nuit américaine". In May 2015, all the songs are finally recorded, instrumentals and vocals and they only needed to finalize everything in studio and to release the album online (on Itunes, Deezer, Spotify, Amazon...). A first crowdfunding campaign is launched and Some Kinda Love's first album was released in July 2015. 

Now, the songs have been played more than 200.000 times on Deezer, Spotify and Apple Music, 55.000 times on Youtube and the band now has more than 300 fans on Deezer!

In December 2016, Some Kinda Love goes back to the studio to start working on a second album! It will be in French and mostly in English this time. The album is more of a "spin-off" of "La nuit américaine". For those familiar with the first album, "L'infâme qu'il aimait" (The infamous lover) becomes the main character. Lost in the city, her love gone, she disappears in the night and succumbs to temptations, hardcore nights and alcohol. She wanders in the Tuileries, plays in wastelands, and watches long-haul flights fly by... Life is hard but things are fair. She exchanges looks with strangers, and many things she can't mention.
