Olores y Colores

Painting a vivid picture in music.
In this track I explore the link between the flamenco style or palo of Tangos and the more Argeninian Tango. Although being linked in name they are very different. A Tango flamenco is more closely linked to the rumba flamenca. Its rhythm is the same as farruca and very lively. The Argentine tango shares a common ancestor, but went its own way. However, it was fun developing the transition between styles. I do that by a dramatic interruption in a Solea por Buleria. It repeats three times with the outro slightly different from the intro and interlude. 
I play three guitar parts here, one in flamenco finger picking style, the others more like the guitar trio with an alternate picking style.

My first track of the year in 2020; I had no idea how prophetic it would be.  We all lost loved ones or know someone whose loved ones perished in the pandemic (still ongoing) and the heart's cry was to have "one more day" to say what needed to be said, to give them a hug or a kiss, share a laugh or a tear; to give them a fond and fitting farewell.  Annie @annie-smart-1 added a lovely vocal and piano part to this song that lifts it to another level.

So I started a @spotify playlist “Mindful Meanders” mainly to celebrate new releases from homies and those whom I admire. I named it so because the purpose with which I listen to lofi / chillhop is to allow my mind to wander - away from breaking news and unread notifications. The beauty of this genre is I can still practice mindfulness and rein in these meanderings short of getting lost in thought - most of the time at least. Hence I chose this to remind myself to meander but not without a purpose.
