I first fell in love with Bassline House during unforgettable nights out clubbing in Leeds in the 2000s. The electric atmosphere, the deep, wobbling basslines, and the sheer energy of the dance floor pulled me in instantly. That raw, infectious sound stuck with me long after the nights ended, and I knew I had to get involved beyond just being a fan.

In 2009, I took the plunge and bought a pair of Technics 1210s, thinking, How hard can mixing really be? Well, let’s just say it was a humbling experience—but one that ignited a passion that still burns strong today. Mixing became more than just a hobby; it turned into a journey, a way to immerse myself even deeper in the music I love. Over the years, I’ve refined my style, experimented with different sounds, and stayed dedicated to sharing my mixes online for others who appreciate Bassline House just as much as I do.

All my recent mixes come with a full track list, so if something catches your ear, you can easily follow and support the artists who make this scene thrive. It’s always been about community, connecting with others through sound, celebrating the genre, and keeping the music alive.

More recently, as of July 2024, I decided to take things a step further and dive into producing my own Bassline House tracks and remixes. It's a whole new challenge, endless experimentation, learning, and refining, but I’m loving every second of it. If you're curious, check them out and let me know what you think. Rare Candy is the dynamic musical venture of Craig Corrigan, a versatile artist whose journey through electronic music reflects a profound passion for the sounds of the 1990s. Drawing inspiration from that era’s vibrant music scene, Craig infuses his work with nostalgic elements while pushing contemporary boundaries.

In a short space of time, Rare Candy has transitioned from remixing independent label releases to delivering official remixes for major labels on a weekly basis. Notably, their remix of Jonas Blue’s “Fast Car” for Positiva / Virgin EMI was playlisted on CapitalXtra, surpassing even the original mix in popularity.

Beyond “Fast Car,” Rare Candy has reimagined tracks for a diverse array of artists, including Olly Murs (RCA), Beyoncé (Columbia), Sophie Beem, Zak Abel (Warner), Röyksopp (Wall of Sound), VV Brown, LeAnn Rimes, Reggie & Bollie, Matt Darey, Therese, Sol Brothers featuring Kathy Brown, Conchita Wurst, DJ Sammy, Brooke Candy, and many more. Their original track “The Bottle” achieved Top 5 status on the UK Club Chart and received significant airplay on Kiss FM.
