ZODALITT is Lise Jonsson. I'm a Norwegian composer, pianist, and music educator for children. Began playing piano by ear at age 7 and began composing at age 12. Beginning in 2015, I began creating music more earnestly as a means of therapy and to express myself.  My music fits into several genres which showcase my compositional, pianistic, arranging, and creative skills. My life have been enriched by travels, especially Greece, where I spent three years. My academic experiences, music teaching background, and life experiences bring richness, variety, and meaning to my music. I 'm especially fond of the beauty of the countryside of my native Norway, where I find inspiration from nearby forests where I frequently walks with my dog. I took the name ZODALITT after the crystal stone Sodalite. Sodalite crystal meaning is linked to the ethereal energy that promotes the highest form of self-expression. Artists were known to carry Sodalite for inspiration. The Sodalite crystal stone meaning has a long held association with the colour of the heavens.
Influenced by : Secret Garden, Vangelis, Mozart, Chopin, Tsjajkovskij, Nigel Kennedy, classical music, music from the 80s, especially Queen and Freddy Mercury, and a lot of music in different genres....old and new !

A lover of great music in all it's forms who enjoys the challenge of bringing something new into the musical world and knowing the joy it can bring to all even through the darkest times.

I use a combination of my tried and trusted Fender Squier 50's Vibe Beach Blonde Telecaster guitar, my recent lucky find of a perfectly good Westfield Stratocaster copy, my Tanglewood semi-acoustic guitar, my Ovation Ukulele and a rather cheap and cheerful USB keyboard recorded directly on to GarageBand on my iPad via the iRig and Zoom Multi-stomp Bluetooth peddles. I have now added the brand new Zivix Jamstik+ to my instrument collection which is great instrument for adding depth, power and orchestration to my new recordings. I have now added my brand new Fender Kingman SCE Acoustic Bass Guitar to the mix.

My only rule for making music is that I give myself just 2-3 hours from conception, to recording, to mixing and editing the song before posting to Soundcloud. Please forgive me if some of my recordings are a bit sloppy and too short!

I suspect you all wonder why I play mostly reflective tunes. That may be due to the fact I seem to major at the minor chord?

I like to thank all the people who have stumbled on to my humble music, left kind encouraging comments and liked my offerings. Soundcloud is a wonderful place to meet like-minded people and rejoice in the spirit of a world family who all share the same musical values.
