https://linktr.ee/neolectro | Neo Lectro is the best known music project of the versatile artist, networker and label owner Martin Hollwitz. Since the mid-1990s he has been totally addicted to electronic music from artists such as Aphex Twin, Daft Punk or Jean-Michel Jarre. His style was inspired early on by the game sounds of his Commodore Amiga 600. Offsets of this 8-bit sound can be found in many of his tracks. As a teenager, he built self-made synthesizers and sound generators and collected an armada of technical music equipment. Newspapers reported him when he was only 14 years old. At the age of 17 he played his first gig at the legendary Beat Club in Dessau. Appearances at Global Village and Ferropolis followed shortly thereafter. From then on things went electronically uphill. His supporters included pioneers like Magic Mayer (Bounce87/Harzfein), Bastian W (Leveltrauma), Chip Tronic (Stonedwave) and Albert Schweitzer (10/40). Neo is the founder of crews and labels such as freakmuzik (FM!network) and TALIS. To bring the crews together, he organized events and festivals like the Tekk Freakz Series and the Electronic Fight Club. Neo Lectro is creating and releasing Melodic Techno and Electronica - and you can be sure that his masterpieces are always emotional, playful and vivid. Turn up the volume for his own imprint Neolectro Music. A constantly enveloping sound universe guides you through an Odyssey in Space.

“I Care Because He Does.”









This is a page inspired by the artist Richard D. James, more specifically, his work on the Rephlex Records label, unreleased/rare releases, and the album he released under the alias “The Tuss”, called “Rushup Edge.” Leading up to this official release, there were multiple MySpace pages said to be accounts belonging to The Tuss. At this point in 2023, it is still unclear how much of these Tuss accounts Rich was involved in… the only confirmed RDJ Tuss material are the aforementioned “Rushup Edge”, and the ep the preceded it, called “Confederation Trough”.

This page also focuses heavily on the “SoundCloud Dump”, which was a series of releases uploaded to a number of anonymous accounts on SoundCloud that eventually became clear to the world to be Richard. It is an astonishing amount of material - spanning his entire artistic career. They eventually were taken down by his record label, but there are a number of folks that compiled each track in a zip archive and can be downloaded for free to this day on archive.org. 

Though this page is dedicated to and inspired by Aphex Twin - I came to a turning point with where to take this page. The main goal is to promote. In other words,  to provide a place online for fans of Aphex Tain to easily stream the best of their favorite artist, as well as showing younger fans of electronic music who I believe is the greatest electronic musician. 

I’ve also uploaded various tracks from a few other artists that are either collaborators, influencers or those influenced by Aphex Twin. You will find some original DJ mixes done by me and some straight up “mixtape” style hour long tracks arranged by and mastered by me. 

I do not profit in any way from this monetarily speaking, but I do get a lot out of seeing the comments and the joy that the songs uploaded bring about, and archives are important.
