With their own brand of rich nostalgic soul rock pop, The Mighty Tears of Joy are quickly becoming the next universally respected band to emerge from Los Angeles' Indie scene.  As American as apple pie, the powerful vocals and rhythmic mixtures resonate with those genres of what the world now calls "soul, rock, and pop" music. These sounds can be felt feverishly brewing throughout  the recording. The Mighty Tears of Joy, comprised of two enigmatically energetic friends Gerardo Morales and Khalfani Saint Blanc, are reintroducing the authentic soul vibes, meaningful lyrics and hand clapping fun back into our musical experience. While their songs breach topics of love, loss, and  economic triumph, the group still found time to create songs like "Twirl You Around" which evokes a spirit of movement and enthusiasm with a sound undeniably West Coast America. Songs like "Yesterday" and "What Would I Do" are a romantic reminder of how music teaming with anguish and passion are essential when the endeavor is to move crowds physically and emotionally.

Sean Michael is an artist who exudes love. Born Sean Michael Miller, Sean is a Los Angeles native bringing back feel good music. His sensuous voice inclines the soul to the heart of his compositions.
A talent all his own, Sean was born with music in his veins. His first love and inspiration, mother Eva Sandefur, sang with the James Cleveland choir. His aunt, Wilma Sandefur, was a part of that choir as well. Continuing the family legacy, Sean Michael has appeared with greats such as Richard Smallwood, The O'Jays, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Walter Hawkins, Kim Burrell, and Justin Timberlake. His versatility has placed him in large venues like the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and at major events such as the Espys. After all this exposure, Sean has finally decided to venture out on his own.
Sean Michael is an emotional artist, the best of him musically comes from what moves him most. Sean finds that inspiration in relationships, friendships, tragedy, pain, and happiness. He loves that music evokes multiple emotions simultaneously; that music has the power to make you feel. His current inspiration is a muse who brings all of that to bear.
Outside of music, Sean is interested in photography. He also enjoys nature. When looking to escape the chaos of life, Sean likes to hit the gym or visit a beach. For him, exercise and being outside are therapeutic. Being out in nature, absorbing the Earth's beauty and the people in it, helps him clear his head and regain focus. Much like any of us, specific people give him peace while others create the chaos that strikes life's beautiful balance.
Sean Michael is "in love with being in love." His lyrics are genuine and sincere. He wants his listeners to not only know that, but to feel it in his songs. His favorite quote, "love's in need of love," reminds us all of the importance to love and to be loved.
