Desert Hearts’ mix, assembled by Marbs, shows how the partners approach an entire night of programming: traveling the rainbow bridge, the swaying road between the realms of body jackin’ and mind expanding. The selections feature a spectrum from tweaked-out house heaters to super-driving and spacey techno bangers, with all manner of burbling, bleary, serotonin-replenishing crowd-movers in between. “You’ll certainly begin somewhere and end somewhere entirely different,” says Marbs. “Let’s take the ride together, and remember to keep exploring.”

What’s up Desert Hearts Family,

We’re proud to share with you our 5.5 hour Desert Hearts Crew Closing Set from Monday afternoon at our 2018 Festival. We wanted to kick things off with this mix because the party on Monday is generally our favorite party of each festival. These closing sets are often as eclectic as it gets because we pretty much play anything we want to hear on the Funktion-Ones one last time. It’s also the time when all of our staff and volunteers who’ve been working all weekend are finally off the clock to celebrate one last dance with the family. Word must be getting out about this party because we couldn’t believe how packed the dance floor was at 7:45pm when we finally shut it down. This set was supposed to be 4 hours, but straight up, we didn't want to stop playing. The vibe was too incredible this Desert Hearts and we didn’t want it to end. We hope this journey brings you back to the magic that we all experienced 2 weeks ago. We’re eternally grateful for this community and we love you all. We’ll be trickling out a few sets each month throughout the year so make sure to follow Desert Hearts Records on Soundcloud to relive all the magic.

What’s Up Desert Hearts Family! 

Oh man do we have a treat for you! Last year @Andreas-Henneberg was supposed to play as one half of The Glitz, but a last minute flu knocked him on his ass and he wasn’t able to make it to the festival. We’re pretty sure he started working on this Desert Hearts set during that same weekend because from the very first track he comes out swinging for the fences with the craziest intro we’ve ever heard. 

With arguably one of the most talked about sets from our 2018 festival, the word that best describes this set from Andreas is flawless. You can tell it was premeditated with Desert Hearts specifically in mind and it pretty much left us all with our faces melted off. Damn it’s good to hear this again! 

You can catch Andreas Henneberg at our City Hearts Festival in San Francisco this Sunday, June 10th! Welcome home, big dawg!
