JC Wilkinson is a local country blues artist with a rich tone and vocals similar to Gordon Lightfoot, Charlie Pride and early Garth Brooks, JC's music is about life and living it to the fullest. Whether jumping rhythms or soft ballads that touch the soul JC does his best to engage his audiences with his humour, his smile and the joy of just being able to share the wonderful gift of music.

Living a crazy life in the rapid pace of Toronto in 2008 JC Wilkinson headed north and finally settled in the beautiful and picturesque, northwest City of Thunder Bay, ON. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, lakes and forests, he found himself grounded and more at ease. It was then that he decided to take a serious look at his music and songwriting. 
JC rediscovered his love for playing guitar, songwriting and performing. Influenced early by Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Jim Witter, Jason McCoy and many others, his music took on an earthy New Country flare that reflects where he has been in life and who he is today. 
JC's Acoustic CD – A New Path – explores his journey to where he is today on many levels and it carries a positive message about love, hope and about how you can turn your life around with faith and the help of those placed in your path. 
In 2009, JC started performing again in small venues, in and around the Thunder Bay area. In the spring of 2010, he played a fundraiser benefit in Manitouwadge for their local high school music program. 
JC Wilkinson performed to a packed house at Gargoyles in Thunder Bay on September 03/10 and was well received. With regular appearances at The Learning Café Open Mic Sessions, held every third Saturday of the month in Thunder Bay, JC is well on his way to establishing himself as a talented local artist. 
Recently JC has been a consistent draw during the National Aboriginal Day and Canada Day Celebrations on stages in Marina Park as well as supporting community events like Culture Days, local fundraisers and benefit concerts throughout Thunder Bay and Northwest Ontario. 
In 2010 JC founded the 4AM in Thunder Bay Association that works with Youth in Northwestern Ontario and Northern Native communities. The organization trains youth in vocal, guitar, performance and studio recording training and provides concerts and festivals for the performers to play at. He has found himself blessed to work with some amazingly talented youth and mentor them as they travel the road to stardom. 
JC Wilkinson is a prominent active member in both the Thunder Bay community and the surrounding Native communities and has established himself as a talented artist, a conscientious youth mentor and a competent Director of both 4AM in Thunder Bay Association and the recently formed Talents Academy Music school in the fall of 2013.

As a sober activist I have dedicated my life to making music geared towards uplifting, educating, and inspiring. I have toured on a private plane over Europe, been pepper stayed in jail running with gangs, sat in silence for weeks in the mountains of CA meditating, marched with the American Indian Movement for Leonard Peltier, battled addiction, taught hundreds of kids and worked with the US state dept on cultural exchanges. I have organized a band of bad asses to collaborate and play my original tunes for charities and other humanitarian events.
