As a cousin of MN Local Hip Hop Legend BEYOND, aka MUSAB, aka SAB THE ARTIST.... Mike Million spent his youth standing by witnessing the birth and growth of the Twin Cities Hip Hop Scene. He watched and learned from his cousin, from the early days of the group LABRINTH (Beyond, Unicus, Misha), to the days of the HEADSHOTS collective, and through the formation of RHYMESAYERS entertainment..... Mike Million (formerly Jacques Ku'Sto) used to hang with his cousin down at ANT's studio during those times, and began to grow as a well developed artist on his own on the sidelines.... Since then he has dropped a total of 6 "Official" albums, as well as a dozen or more underground records as either a solo artist or within side project groups that he had formed along the way.... Mike Million currently runs his own Label & Minnesota Distribution company known as MJC, and is currently working on more than a few projects. His last "Official" record, with fellow SCS producer was entitled "Self-Titled", and was presented by the SCS record label owned and operated by Legendary Twin Cities producer Serebe. His distribution company is gaining ground nationally and has been pursuing a handful of artists, with more than a few releases underway. Watch out for more from Mike Million and MJC. The "SOUNDSCAPE" series is a set of TWIN CITIES Minnesota Hip Hop Compilation albums produced entirely by Serebe of SCS (Self Centered Sounds). Each album features various Twin Cities Hip Hop artists over Serebe produced tracks. The series officially began with Serebe's first compilation album entitled "Midwest Tyrants" in the year of 2000, this was the blueprint for what would soon be known as "SOUNDSCAPE". The SOUNDSCAPE series is a way of respecting the dopest and freshest Hip Hop artists coming out of Minnesota. It is in a way an Ode to the classic MN days of the Headshots crew, when there were many emcees that gathered for an album with ONE producer doing all the tracks. Once the Headshots collective had parted their ways, Serebe took it upon himself to carry the torch, and keep the idea of a collective effort alive, thus creating dope underground compilation albums that were true to Hip Hop, in form and tradition. The SOUNDSCAPE series is a set of Twin Cities Hip Hop jewelz, and is now here for your listening pleasure. For those who missed out, or for those who weren't around the Twin Cities area to capture the albums at their release, here they are, just for you. Much Love & Peace.

Desdamona came onto the Minneapolis scene in 1997 and although she wasn't the first woman to grab the mic, she paved the way for ladies who rock the mic in the Twin Cities and was the first female MC widely known for not only rockin' mics but as a promoter, community organizer and teaching artist. She co-founded B-Girl Be, a celebration of women in Hip Hop that hosted women from all over the world in the 4 elements of Hip Hop to the Twin Cities for a yearly festival (2005-07, 2009-10).
For years, Des has toured and recorded as well as hosting a weekly open mic at the Blue Nile, creating a space for up and coming artists in the Twin Cities. In 2007. Des toured with Jamaican grammy award winning, living legends , Sly &amp; Robbie and has collaborated with the duo numerous times. (There is a sample right here on her page - "The Source") Des has shared the stage with Saul Williams, Brother Ali, Boots Riley (The Coup), Les Nubians, Zap Mama, Guru, KRS ONE and many more.
2012, with partner Carnage the Executioner, French Label, Nato Records / Hope Street released the ill chemistry self-titled album. ill chemistry is a collaboration of beat box and vocals. 

In April of 2016 Des is releasing her latest album "No Man's Land" featuring an all woman cast of features. A response to the lack of representation of women in Hip Hop, the album explores a new world where women are the dominant voice in the art form and pays respect to those who came before.
