Serial is a new podcast from the creators of This American Life, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Serial will follow one story - a true story - over the course of a whole season. We'll follow the plot and characters wherever they take us and we won’t know what happens at the end of the story until we get there, not long before you get there with us. Each week we'll bring you the latest chapter, so it's important to listen in order, starting with Episode 1.

Cheryl Lynn Tomblin aka PIPES was born in Ronceverte, WV but grew up in Maywood, IL. She began playing violin at 10 years and belonged to the Merit School of Music for four years until graduating and attending Carnegie Mellon University where she continued to develop her musical craft. At the age of 17 she picked up the guitar which propelled her into the arena that is musicianship.

Cheryl released her first EP "Allow Me the Pleasure"  under her moniker PIPES in 2012 and response and reviews of the album were extremely positive. The three song EP employs a minimalism that is both haunting and hypnotic, relying solely on the two instruments, guitar and vocal. The second PIPES EP "Those Ramblings on the Wall," released under Wire Recorders, was more produced as it included additional guitar (Dave Walker), Bass (Mike Krayniak) and Drums (Ryan Shepherd).  The full length album for "Mockingbird" is a long time coming. Cheryl decided to go under her songwriter name to take her music into a more personal space. This album, full of dark musings and contemplative desires, pulls from many of her influences such as Cassandra Wilson, Chris Cornell, John Lee Hooker and Jerry Cantrell. 

Cheryl's music and lyrics have been described as being dark and melancholy, holding the audience captivated by cyclic guitar riffs, poignant and smoky vocal undertones.

Baby Cuts is an emerging indie art-punk band that’s quickly becoming known in the crowded Chicago original rock scene. The group avoids any sort of creative comfort zone, preferring to be different, real, and relevant. Baby Cuts makes music that takes in punk, post-punk, experimental, and post grunge DNA and exists somewhere amongst Bjork, The Cure, Garbage, and Portishead.
The lineup is Bridget O’Callahan on vocals and keyboards, Sam Gjokaj on guitars, and Christian Volpe on drums.  We are currently in the studio finishing three new tracks, including a single called “Vegas”. Email eixi@hotmail.com for inquires.
