The VELES band unites musicians who have set themselves the task of combining Russian musical folklore, the legacy of Russian classical music and sound of heavy / thrash metal.
On the Russian stage, such a synthesis is presented for the first time. And we can safely say that there are no analogues even in world music.
"VELES" acquired its characteristic and easily recognizable sound, primarily due to the powerful academic vocal of Denis Dianov.
Instrumental composition, along with the traditional for heavy rock guitars, bass and percussion, includes a cello. 
Russian folk songs, works of Russian classics and songs of the authorship of the participants of the group "VELES", which are presented on the debut album "The Tsar's Dogs", immerse the listener in the atmosphere of the reign of Ivan the Terrible.
The team is distinguished by a high level of performance and sound quality not only in recording, but also at live concerts.

Группа «ВЕЛЕС» объединяет музыкантов, которые поставили перед собой задачу сочетать русский музыкальный фольклор, наследие русской классической музыки и жесткое звучание heavy/thrash metal.
На российской сцене подобный синтез представлен впервые. И можно смело утверждать, что аналогов не имеется даже в мировой музыке.
«ВЕЛЕС» приобрел своё характерное и легко узнаваемое звучание, в первую очередь, благодаря мощнейшему академическому вокалу Дениса Дианова.
Инструментальный состав, наряду с традиционными для тяжелого рока гитарами, басом и ударными, включает в себя виолончель. Для записи приглашаются сессионные музыканты, владеющие народными духовыми инструментами: жалейкой, свирелью, волынкой.
Русские народные песни, произведения русских классиков и песни авторства самих участников группы «ВЕЛЕС», которые представлены на дебютном альбоме «Псы государевы», погружают слушателя в атмосферу времен правления Ивана Грозного. 
Коллектив отличает высокий уровень исполнения и качества звучания не только в записи, но и на живых концертах.

After a few years of organising and DJ-ing EDM parties in Antwerp with my best friends I started to miss being a DJ. Few things give me the same rush as seeing people freak out on the dance floor to the tunes you decide to play. 
I soon found out that making music myself gives me that same rush, especially those moments when you feel it all starts to fit together and sounds great. I need that creative outlet. Without it I don’t feel alive. It’s as simple as that. 
And now the time has come to share some of my work hoping it will provide the same joy to listeners as I experience creating it.
I try to combine some harsher elements from my darker EBM days with melodic and uplifting elements to create a type of energetic Trance beats that keep you going on the dance floor. 
I prefer old school trance with lots of buildups and breaks to the modern stuff that seems to be taking over bigger festivals like Tomorrowland. But hey, “De gustibus non disputandum est.” (To each his / her own)
I rarely use vocals but would love to do so. I simply don’t have the network yet so any voices / songwriters out there who would like to collaborate? Let me know!
