A simple chord progression I stumbled on gradually evolved into this piece.

Belepoc is a project I share with my long time collaborator Pablo Valotta. For the last 4 years we have been experimenting with different ideas ending up with no less than 20 tracks. We took five of them to make an EP already available on every streaming platform.

I got a new toy and made all the music with it. Ok, I also used a bowed bass for the bass frequencies.

The spoken word deals with the concept of time. I got a little bit triggered by some wise-ass dude on the interwebz stating that "WE EXPERIENCE TIME MOVING FORWARD...."

Hey, speak for yourself, dude. Time does not MOVE... In fact, time really isn't a thing at all. It is as much a thing as blue is a colour... The wavelengths of light are real, but those are not colours...

LOL after some discussion, I kinda explain it this way. In our observation, we see the sun dawn in the morning, and set in the evening. But this is not the sun doing anything special: we see this as a result of the rotation of our planet.
Similarly, "we"  observe time to go by, but it's not time doing anything special, it is us, going by through time.

Time itself has no action, just like distance has no action. It requires action to pass over distance, as it requires action to pass through time. Welcome to life.

It Must Be Blue

This track is created in F Lydian, a mode that wants to resolve to its parent scale of C.  This creates a mild tension in the listener who subconsciously wants the tune to move to its resolution, hence the name.
